Christmas Eve will be a cold but partly sunny day. We will meet on the west side of the Pichelsberg S-Bahn station, on the platform, and start the hike from the end point (https://www.komoot.com/tour/2692511554). Please prepare for a rather speedy hike. (Bring comfortable shoes, for example.) We will have a break at Grunewaldturm, but the café/restaurant there will be closed. However, there is an outdoor seating area with benches and tables where we can hopefully sit and enjoy the food we have brought with us. Towards the end of the hike, we will leave the track to visit the Indian restaurant Rasam (Wasgenstraße), where I have made a reservation (to ensure that the restaurant is open on Christmas Eve). I’ve always found myself caught between loving the quiet… and feeling the low note of everyone else having a place to belong.
