New Year Eve Celebration!
Hello everyone!
Place to Meet: Dakota MRT Passenger Service Centre
Time: 5pm
1. Dinner at Old Airport Food Centre
2. Walk to Vivocity
3. Rest & Buy Snacks at Vivocity
4. Proceed to Sentosa & Countdown at Sentosa
The route may be modified during the walk to better suit the group’s pace and fitness levels. The organizers will make adjustments as needed to ensure the walk remains enjoyable and manageable for all
participants.
Do drop me a message via whatsapp or via meetup if you will be late.
You may consider the following:
1. Comfortable Clothing
• Moisture-wicking fabrics: Avoid cotton, as it traps moisture and causes chafing. Instead, choose clothing made from materials like polyester, nylon, or merino wool, which keep you dry.
• Comfortable socks: Opt for moisture-wicking socks with cushioning to reduce the risk of blisters.
2. Proper Footwear
• Well-fitting shoes: Ensure your shoes are properly broken in and provide enough support, especially if you're walking long distances. Sturdy hiking or walking shoes with good arch support are ideal.
• Blister prevention: Consider blister-resistant socks or pack blister pads to address any discomfort before it becomes a problem.
3. Hydration
• Water bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the walk to maintain energy levels and prevent dehydration.
4. Snacks
• Energy bars or trail mix: Portable, nutrient-packed snacks high in carbohydrates and protein—perfect for refueling during breaks.
• Nuts or dried fruit: Easy to carry and great for providing long-lasting energy.
5. Umbrella
• Umbrella: Bring one in case of rain to stay dry and comfortable.
6. Optional Gear
• Tissues or wet wipes: Handy for personal hygiene or cleaning your hands after eating or drinking.
7. Small Backpack or Waist Pack
• Use a small, comfortable bag to carry your essentials. Ensure it fits snugly and doesn’t rub or chafe over time.
Disclaimer:
By participating in this walk, you acknowledge and accept that you are responsible for your own physical well-being. Please exercise caution while walking, and listen to your body. If you feel unwell at any point, please inform the organizer and discontinue participation.
Walking involves inherent risks, including the potential for personal injury. By joining the walk, you accept these risks and agree that the event organizer(s) are not responsible or liable for any accidents, injuries, or incidents that may occur during or as a result of your participation in the walk.
READ THIS: Attendance Guidelines
Hi everyone. Yes, we've heard your complaints about people rsvping and not showing up, and how there's space at the venue but no more rsvp slots. To resolve this, we seek your help with taking attendence at the events:
- For members who RSVP and no-show, they will receive -1 point. (RSVPs close 48 hrs before the event--please cancel your rsvp before this)
- For members who RSVP and show, they will receive +1 point.
- E.g., Bill RSVPs for 3 meetups. He shows up for only 1. Thus, he gets (-1) + (-1) + (+1) = -1 point.
- Members who have < -3 points will be banned.
- Members who have > 10 points will get VIP and can attend meetups without RSVP for a year
- Please approach our committee members to take your attendance. Thank you!

Let's Scrapbook / Junk Journal!!!
Calling all scrapbooking / junk journal enthusiasts: Let's make some journal pages to kick off 2026!!
**Where:** Onalu Bagel Haus (a lot of benches outside with lotsa space for us)
**When: Sat, 3 Jan 2026, 4pm** till 5.30-6pm
**What is junk journaling?**
It's a fun activity where you basically use "junk" to create meaningful and creative pages in a journal, similar to scrapbooking. "Junk" can range from receipts and product labels to marketing brochures, old magazines, newspapers, books, etc. You can also use stickers, art prints, or anything you like! Some people like to use photographs and mementos to document special memories. It'll be the perfect time to create New Year-themed journal pages if you like!
**What you should bring**
I'll be bringing some of my own "junk", as well as 1-2 extra scissors, glue, washi tapes and colour pencils that we can share. Please feel free to bring your own "junk"! And of course, you also need a journal. Beginners and experts alike are welcome.
**This event is totally free, but please bring some of your own items to paste in your journal as I may not have enough/suitable items to suit your creative style.**

Please be sure to RSVP responsibly to help those who are on the waitlist get the chance to come for the walks.
***As a consideration to others, you should change your RSVP status the day before the event to allow those on the waitlist time to schedule for the event if you can't attend.***

Raising Conscious Kids – A Unity Family Experience
At Unity of Columbus, our Youth and Family Ministry nurtures the spiritual growth of children and families through love, joy, and practical spiritual teachings. Each Sunday, children explore timeless spiritual principles through stories, creative activities, music, and group sharing in a safe and welcoming environment.
Our program encourages children to discover their own inner light, express kindness, and develop a personal connection with God. Together, we celebrate diversity, cultivate understanding, and inspire each child to live with purpose and compassion. Parents and families are invited to join in this uplifting journey of learning, laughter, and spiritual connection.
