Day DJ is a weekly series at Villa Vida Café. Each Friday, local DJs take over the space and share their sound in a daytime setting. The focus is on new talent, experimentation, and community. This is a place to build sets, try ideas, and connect through music. The format is open and relaxed. You can come to listen, work, meet people, or stay for the full set. The aim is to create a consistent platform where DJs grow their practice and support each other. **Vinzenz** New to DJing but already building a very distinct sound, they work with a mix of flea market discoveries, archival records, and digital experimentation. Their collection ranges from 1920s–1980s vinyl, with a focus on South American music, Caribbean rhythms, jazz, swing, and vintage Schlager — especially releases from Vienna Phon and Donauland. DJs have played a central role in queer culture. In spaces where queer people were excluded, DJs created environments where identity and expression could exist. Through sound, they shaped rooms, built connections, and guided shared experiences. Many of the sounds and practices that define nightlife today grew out of queer spaces. House, disco, and club culture were shaped by queer communities, especially Black and Latinx scenes. Day DJ continues this history by creating space for new voices and keeping this culture active.

A gentle space to slow down and unwind at the end of the week. This session is designed to help you release stress, calm the nervous system, and transition softly into the weekend through guided relaxation and subtle live sound. No experience needed. Just come, lie down, listen, and rest. Open to everyone.

Join us for our regular and casual Friday evening, on playing Padel. We reserve our right to adapt the setup according to the audience level, vibe, health, weather, shape etc SETUP ● 2 courts (2 vs 2), 1 team is rotating or taking a rest court 1: minim 6 players court 2: minim 4 players ● 2 courts - 10-12 people (more players, we make small teams and play shorts, all combination; the hosts have the last word. proposals are welcome) ● The event organisers or experienced player are entitled to send players on the second court ● We are respectfull and warm with each other, our cultural and professional background is diverse. ● New proposals are welcome :). Welcome Book Lovers! Join our Meet Up Group to find like-minded book readers! This event is for everybody interested in listening or sharing new book content or comment on it. You are welcome just to come for inspiration. You definitely don't need to read books at the moment. It is a gathering for everybody to find like-minded people interested in learning something new. :) Feel free to bring your own book with you. The event will take place at the volunteer organisation MUT. It is an organisation to supports humans, animals and the environment especially in Vienna. I am happy to host it there.
