On abordera notamment :

https://www.ihp.fr/en/node/4821
💡 *Note personnelle :*

Dear Group Elements 🌌
(yes, like elements of a mathematical group!)
I’m sharing a talk from the **Carte blanche lecture series** hosted by the Maison Poincaré, where researchers present their recent work in mathematics and related applications 🌌📊
🎓 **From turbulence to predictability: the mathematics of oceans and climate**
by Louis-Philippe Nadeau
Despite decades of progress in computational science and numerical modeling 💻, some fundamental questions in climate science remain remarkably stable since the Charney Report (1979).
This talk explores the role of the ocean 🌊 as both a turbulent system and a climate regulator, and how mathematics helps explain how chaotic systems can still produce large-scale predictable behavior.
Topics include:
* geophysical fluid dynamics 🌪️
* the link between disorder and large-scale structure 📈
* numerical simulation and modeling tools 🧮
A Q&A session will follow 💬
🔗 More information:

https://www.ihp.fr/en/node/4821
💡 *Personal note:*
The talk is on a Thursday afternoon, so I may not be able to attend, but I’m sharing it because the topic is especially interesting for anyone into mathematical physics, dynamical systems, and modeling 🌌
After the talk, those who wish can continue the discussion over a coffee or a drink nearby ☕🍷 — to exchange thoughts, ask questions, or simply extend the conversation in a relaxed atmosphere.
See you soon 🌌✨
