The Architect's Guide: Principles for Building on Solid Ground in Mendix
Scaling a Mendix landscape requires more than just rapid development; it requires a solid foundation. In this Meetup, we will explore the journey towards software architecture when reaching seniority, find out what architecture is, what an architect does, together with some practical examples.
**What Youâll Learn**
Now you have finished the Mendix game, you played all the cards, harvested all the points and gathered all the badges... so what now?
As a seasoned experienced Mendix developer you probably have seen it all. You have build your fair share of microflows, pages, and integrations. You coached your team members and challenged team to be the best version of themselves while enlighten your client with innovative solutions and ideas.
What will be your next step or does it all end here or is it Groundhog day all-over?
Being a Mendix Developer puts you in a unique start position to explore new endeavours. In this we give an insight in one of plenty exploration opportunities: the life of an Architect. Find out what architecture is, what an architect does, together with some practical examples.
Youâll leave the meetup knowing there is an architect in you.
The second session explains how Mendix and AI can help companies build better digital solutions. You will hear when Mendix is the right tool, how AI is changing daily work and software development, and what architects should know to design larger systems using Mendix. The presentation also shows how AI agents can be added safely into business processes.
Participants will leave with practical guidance on using Mendix to build scalable applications, how to organize teams and roles, and how to support business goals with lowâcode and AI. In short, you will learn how to move from small apps to a secure, efficient, AIâready Mendix landscape.

Dig the diff, parse the past: Eine Zeitreise durch Git-Repositories
Hi Gophers!
Denn Git vergisst nichts.
16, 30163 Hannover), vielen Dank an unsere Gastgeber!
\*\*\*\*\*\*
Hi Gophers,
Our next meeting will take place on **Wednesday, 11 February 2026**.
[Christian Budde](https://github.com/meko-christian/) from [MeKo Manufacturing](http://www.meko.de/) will take us on a journey through time via various Git repositories and provide us with tools that we can use to travel through time in our own code base.
Because Git never forgets anything. We read the repo as telemetry: aggregating, normalising and visualising â and looking at which metrics provide information about fossils in the code and team dynamics.
The talk will be in German, when necessary we can switch to English.
Weâll meet at [functional](https://functional.team/) (Drostestr. 16, 30163 Hannover) at **6:00 PM** â big thanks to our hosts!
The talk will start at **6:30 PM**, followed by our usual casual get-together to share experiences, learn from each other, and enjoy the evening.
We look forward to seeing you there!

AI Essentials for professionals - 2e pilot
* Klopt dit wel?
* Gebruik ik AI âgoedâ?
* Haal ik er echt voordeel uit, of kost het vooral tijd?
* Niet-technische managers en professionals
* Die veel werken met tekst, plannen en besluitvorming
* Die AI al gebruiken (bijv. ChatGPT), maar daar nog te weinig zekerheid en rendement uit halen

Azure CBUS February: Build Your Own MCP Server
### Tools in your AI's Toolbox : An introduction to MCP Servers
The generative AI revolution has unlocked unprecedented capabilities, but the next frontier is agency: empowering models to interact with, query, and act upon the world. The current challenge is the âN x M integration problem,â where every AI model requires a custom, brittle integration for each external tool or data source. This approach simply doesnât scale. How can we give an AI access to our sales leads, code repositories, or IoT devices in a standardized, secure, and reusable way?
This session introduces Anthropicâs Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open-source framework designed to solve this challenge and become the universal connectorâthe USB-C portâfor AI. MCP standardizes how AI models discover and use external tools, moving beyond simple function-calling to a robust, client-server architecture. We will dive into how this open protocol is creating a new ecosystem for building powerful, context-aware AI agents.
Join this session for a developer-focused introduction where you will learn how to:
Understand the core concepts of the open-source Model Context Protocol and its architecture.
Utilize pre-built, open-source MCP servers to instantly connect AI to tools like Git, Slack, and databases.
Build a custom MCP server to securely expose your own proprietary data and APIs as tools for any compliant AI.
Move beyond bespoke integrations and contribute to a standardized, collaborative, and open ecosystem.
Stop building one-off connectors and start building intelligent agents. This session will give you the practical knowledge to leverage MCP and create the next generation of AI that doesnât just talk, but does.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Compensation Data
**People Analytics 101: Making Sense of Compensation Data**
Compensation data is one of the most widely used and widely misunderstood forms of people analytics.
The session will cover where compensation data comes from, including market pricing data, internal payroll data, and benchmarking sources, and how companies think about structuring and analyzing that information. We will explore how compensation data is leveraged to set salary ranges, manage internal equity, support hiring and retention, and align pay with business strategy. A portion of the session will address common data challenges and limitations, such as market noise, inconsistent job matching, and incomplete datasets, while keeping the primary focus on practical use rather than technical depth.
The session will also look ahead at where the space is going, including the growing impact of pay transparency laws, expanding pay equity requirements, and emerging regulations in the US and Europe that require organizations to report on gender and pay gaps. The goal is to give attendees a clear mental model for how compensation analytics works today and why getting it right is becoming increasingly critical.
(note: we are back at Rev1 this month!)
**About Our Speaker**
[Alex Moore](https://www.linkedin.com/in/alexscottmoore/) is the founder of [Moore Cooperative](https://moorecooperative.com/), where he advises organizations on compensation strategy, pay equity, and people analytics. His work focuses on helping organizations like the Ohio Supreme Court design, analyze, and communicate compensation systems that are data-informed, defensible, and aligned with organizational goals. Alex lives in Granville, Ohio and has three little kiddos.

THANK YOU: This CMG Gives Back event provides an opportunity for YOU to get involved in helping others! Benefits go well beyond the help we give to others. Volunteering provides a wide range of personal benefits, including positive effects on mental and physical health, reduced stress/depression/anxiety, increased happiness and improved purpose, life-satisfaction and personal well-being! Plus, the opportunity to get involved, connect with others and help those in need.
PARTNER AGENCY: This event is hosted by Lutheran Social Services (LSS), which serves thousands of people in need each day in 27 Ohio counties by addressing the four core societal issues of food, shelter, safety and healing. LSS offers food through the LSS Food Pantries, housing and supportive services through LSS Faith Mission and LSS Faith Mission of Fairfield County homeless shelters, domestic violence services through LSS CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence, senior living and health care, affordable housing communities, and other services that uplift families and strengthen communities.
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
CBusData - Ok I Want to Get Data into Fabric - Now What?
I love my job and one of the main things I do is help customers get going with any of the data technologies at Microsoft. Right now there are a lot of my customers asking about Microsoft Fabric. It's hard to weave across all the shiny new options across the Fabric landscape, let alone figure out where it fits into your organization. In this session we'll focus on answering one question - how can I get data into Fabric? We'll talk through the "it depends" options and see some of the options in live demos.
