**Overview:** Improv sessions in English accepting all levels. We play short and long-form improv comedy, which includes theater-style scenes, guessing, and group games.

Being on time will help you and everyone.

**Are you late?**
Please inform the event host, or comment on the event page. If you arrive late and the session is already in progress, please wait on the side till the game/scene is finished. Wait for the session moderator to indicate when you can start participating.
***Location**
The session takes place on the first floor of The Sister Cafe. Stairs next to the bar. It's the room with a curtain at the door.
*** Participation (Attendee list)**
The session is limited to** 12 attendees**. This is to ensure that the session is manageable and everybody gets enough chances to participate.
Therefore, only the people on the "attendee list" are allowed to be present at the session and participate.
**Waiting list**: People on the waiting list should keep an eye on the updates, in case someone from the attendees' list drops and you get their spot.
**Just want to observe? **Usually, we don't allow any extra audience during these sessions. We invite you to come to any of our shows.
But if for some reason you are only interested in observing and not participating, please contact the event host on meetup, or talk with them personally at the session and explain your reasons. Admission for this is not guaranteed.

*** RSVP Rules**
*Please update your RSVP status in a timely manner, if you can't make it to the session. This applies to people on the **attendee list AND waiting list.**
- If you are on the waiting list, and already know that you won't be able to join in case someone from the main list drops, please update your RSVP to "not going". This will give the chance to the next person on the waiting list.
*Emergencies aside, please update your rsvp status on time. Canceling last minute or just 1 hour before isn't helpful.
- If we see a pattern from someone not showing up after confirming, or last-minute cancellations, we reserve the right to prohibit access to the sessions.
*Please write a comment if you cancel and your spot becomes available. With this others will get an extra notification.
**Improv Session Format**
The session is held in English.
The session is divided into three sections: Warm up, Scene games, and Cool down.
**Warmup:** Quick group games are played to break the ice and get the creative juices flowing.
**Scenes:** Then we move on to scene games. These are mostly from short-form improv, which can include different games with various gimmicks, like story building, character work, guessing, etc
**Cool down:** One or two short group games to end the session. The rules are explained by the moderator before each game.
There is no obligation to take part in games that you are not comfortable with.
There can be feedback after a game is played. This is so that we learn from each other and gain skills and insights.
**Tip**: If you are new, pay attention to the regular players when they are performing and notice small details, like how a stage is cleared before a scene, how to enter a scene, and how to collaborate with each other.
*** Who is it for?**
Anyone who is interested in improv! We accept all levels, beginners, and advanced participants
This is a great place to start if you are new to improv. The basics will be explained. We only require the "Yes, and...!" spirit!

Board and card games at the Café
WHAT we play. As you know, we have two events, one more for social games on Thursday and another for **strategic games** on **Monday**. Depending on what people bring, we may play brainy games, not limited to chess and classic games. So, feel free to bring other ones.
And this is only indicative. Some games like Decrypto fit both events, **and if people feel like playing a social game on Monday or a more strategic one on Thursday, they are free to do so.**
WHERE. Because we have many strategic players on Monday and these games take longer, we moved to a café closing much later than the previous one.
CHATBOX USE. In the event chatbox, you are invited to discuss the games you bring and want to play for this session. The idea is to gather people around game tables beforehand. Of course, it's also possible to show up and arrange this after the introduction round, which starts at 7h15.
HOST. If you want to become a host and have your board game event for a specific game with a small group of people or in another place, Great! Let me know, and I'll help you set up your event with this group. Hosts don't pay fees.
TIMING: Because strategy games are often longer, we gather at 7 pm and start at 7:15. So, those who play long games can have 3 hours and 30 minutes for their game. You can come later, but you may have to wait before joining a game.
WHERE. We play upstairs. Ask which room at the bar downstairs.
DRINK. You have to order a drink at the bar, pay for it, and come up with it.

Afhankelijk van de interesse vergaderen vandaag over:
1. De opgewaardeerde luchtkwaliteit display (fijnstof), nu met web-interface, met opvolging voor 32 locaties met elk 4 sensoren, met interface naar project Telraam (verkeerstellingen). Dit is eigen ontwikkeling van InfluencAir, en suggesties voor aanpassingen & verbeteringen zijn mogelijk. De source van de software is public domain (GNU GPL V3) en is gepubliceerd op Github (displayPM_32x4)
2. Er kunnen in deze sessie stand-alone displays van 53cm lang worden gebouwd. Het materiaal daarvoor wordt ter beschikking gesteld voor een bijdrage van 40 euro per display.
3. Een doorontwikkeling van deze display resulteerde recent in een kleine LCD display voor gebruik thuis, met dezelfde mogelijkheden. Deze LCD display zal ook kunnen worden gebouwd, en het materiaal daarvoor wordt ter beschikking gesteld voor een bijdrage van 20 euro per display.
4. Natuurlijk kan je ook een (gebouwde & geteste) fijnstofmeter met SDS011 en BME280 meenemen uit deze sessie. De prijs hiervoor is 45 euro.
5. Dit is ook een voorbereidende vergadering over de DNMS: de achtergrond geluidsmeter van het Sensor.Community project. Indien hier interesse voor is, kan dit in groep worden gestart. Gelieve mij vooraf een bericht te sturen indien de DNMS je ding is !!!
6. Idem voor een fijnstofmeter rond de SEN55, i.p.v. de SDS011. De voordelen van zo'n meter zijn dat naast de PM2,5/PM10 en Temperatuur/Vochtigheid/Luchtdruk ook nog de PM1/PM4 en de VOS/NOx waarden worden gemeten. Ook hier vooraf een bericht sturen indien dit je interesse opwekt.
7. Mensen die een Mosquitto server willen opzetten, gekoppeld aan een database, voor opslag en uitlezen van de metingen van de nieuwe meter beschreven in punt 6 zijn ook altijd welkom ! Ook hier vooraf een bericht, a.u.b.

About the moderator

‘Raised in the Hungarian countryside, I learned sewing, crochet and traditional bead weaving. Jewellery being my main interest, I especially liked bead weaving. This passion has always been with me.
Since I have been living in Belgium, the African style fascinates me as much as the Hungarian folk style.
With my work, which manifests itself under the brand name Tulipane Design, I would like to offer a delicate mixture of Eastern Europe and Africa.
The designs are created and woven bead by bead. It is a work of patience and a kind of meditation: the beads take time to be woven.
Through my childhood trauma with an abusive father, I realised that creating is a crucial activity to find my balance and well-being and I think I am not alone with this. That's why my goal is not only to share my creations with other women but also to contribute to a social impact. Tulipane Design contributes with 1€/jewel sold to the Domestic Violence Centre in Belgium.’

Summer Evening Forest Hike (10km)
Join us for a mid-week breath of fresh air! We’re heading into the beautiful Sonian Forest (*Forêt de Soignes*) for a refreshing evening loop. Cutting the distance down to 10km means we can maintain a steady, relaxed pace, soak in the beautiful summer evening light under the canopy, and be back around 9 PM. This is the perfect time of the year for an evening hike.
### 📍 The Plan
* **When:** Wednesday, July 8th
* **Meeting Time:** 6:00 PM (We will start walking promptly at 6:15 PM)
* **Meeting Point:** Outside the **Herrmann-Debroux Metro Station** (Exit near the bus/tram hub—look for the group with hiking shoes!)
* **The Route:** A beautiful 10km loop starting and ending at Herrmann-Debroux, passing through the historic **Rouge-Cloître** ponds and entering the lush valleys of the forest.
### 🥾 Pace & Difficulty
* **Distance:** \~10 km
* **Level:** Easy to Moderate. The terrain is a mix of wide gravel paths and some dirt tracks.
* **Pace:** Social and steady. We aim to be back at the metro station around 9:00 PM.

The topic for July is "Shoes"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus.

We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace. Routes will use a mix of streets and bike lanes, so comfort navigating the city is helpful, but you don’t need to be an expert.
