Welcome Book Lovers! Join our Meet Up Group to find like-minded book readers! This event is for everybody interested in listening or sharing new book content or comment on it. You are welcome just to come for inspiration. You definitely don't need to read books at the moment. It is a gathering for everybody to find like-minded people interested in learning something new. :) Feel free to bring your own book with you. The event will take place at the volunteer organisation MUT. It is an organisation to supports humans, animals and the environment especially in Vienna. I am happy to host it there. # **Day DJ Series at Villa Vida: DJ Joy Resistance** Day DJ is a weekly series at Villa Vida Café. Each Friday, local DJs take over the space and share their sound in a daytime setting. The focus is on new talent, experimentation, and community. This is a place to build sets, try ideas, and connect through music. The format is open and relaxed. You can come to listen, work, meet people, or stay for the full set. The aim is to create a consistent platform where DJs grow their practice and support each other. *** ## **DJ Joy Resistance** DJ Joy Resistance brings an approach rooted in energy, connection, and movement. Their sets focus on creating a shared atmosphere rather than sticking to rigid genre boundaries, allowing space for experimentation and flow. *** DJs have played a central role in queer culture. In spaces where queer people were excluded, DJs created environments where identity and expression could exist. Through sound, they shaped rooms, built connections, and guided shared experiences. Many of the sounds and practices that define nightlife today grew out of queer spaces. House, disco, and club culture were shaped by queer communities, especially Black and Latinx scenes. Day DJ continues this history by creating space for new voices and keeping this culture active.
