**Walk & Talk** Willst du auch mehr Bewegung in dein Leben bringen? Und dich dabei noch gut unterhalten, so dass die Zeit verfliegt? Dann bist du hier genau richtig, denn mir geht es genauso. Alleine ist langweilig und die Zeit vergeht nicht, daher hab ich mir Walk & Talk überlegt. Inspiriert wurde ich durch die Walk & Talk Gruppe in Hamburg, wo ich mehrere Male dabei war als ich in Hamburg lebte. Unterschiedliche Menschen treffen sich einmal in der Woche für einen flotten Spaziergang und unterhalten sich dabei. Ich liebe es neue Menschen kennenzulernen und auch bekannte Gesichter wiederzusehen, dann geh ich ganz nebenbei und das macht auch noch Spaß.😊 **Walk:** Wir brauchen einfach regelmäßige Bewegung und ich weiß selbst, wie schwierig es ist, diese in den Alltag zu integrieren. Deshalb ist dieser Walk genau richtig. Nach diesem Spaziergang fühlst du dich einfach wohl, fit und entspannt. **Talk:** Das Reden kommt ganz von selbst beim Gehen. Du kannst über alles reden, egal, ob privates oder berufliches, alles was sich ergibt ist willkommen. Und wenn du keinen Bock aufs Reden hast, dann gehst du alleine, auch das ist völlig in Ordnung. **Wie das ganze abläuft:** * Die Teilnahme ist völlig kostenlos. * Wo: U6 Spittelau (im Freien), Richtung Donaukanal, Ausgang Josef-Holaubek-Platz, direkt vor dem Fernwärme-Turm (https://maps.app.goo.gl/XwAayz4FQe2EW8WK9) Wenn du mit der U4 kommst, geh bitte zum Hauptgebäude, wo die Züge und die U6 fahren. * Wann: Wir treffen uns dienstags um 13 Uhr, egal, ob bei Regen, Sturm und Kälte oder bestem Sonnenschein – Walk & Talk findet nahezu JEDE Woche statt außer ich bin mal im Urlaub. * Wir starten pünktlich und beginnen mit einer kurzen Vorstellungsrunde. * Wie gehen am Donaukanal entlang von Höhe Spittelau bis zum Schwedenplatz und zurück. * Ca. 7 Kilometer sind wir unterwegs und unterhalten uns dabei mit interessanten Menschen. Dabei kannst du neue Bekanntschaften schließen, dich inspirieren lassen, von Projekten erzählen oder einfach nur smalltalken und die frische Luft genießen. Everyone is welcome to join, test their skills and have some fun together! The locker rooms are free to use. Also, bring clean indoor sports shoes, your racket and a water bottle with you. There is also a drinking fountain available if you need to replenish your bottle. The organiser will be at the club about 5 min. ahead of time and pay for everyone - please bring if possible exact change and pay the organiser after the event! The fee for this event is 6€. It is possible to rent rackets from the club, if necessary (3€). Sometimes members have spare rackets - please ask in the comment section below! Day DJ is a weekly series at Villa Vida Café. Every Friday, local DJs take over the space and play daytime sets in an open, low-pressure environment. The focus is on new talent, experimentation, and community. This is not a typical club setting. You can drop in to listen, work, meet people, or stay for the full set. The idea is simple: create a consistent platform where DJs can develop their sound and connect with others. DJs have always played a central role in queer culture. In spaces where queer people were excluded, DJs built environments where identity and expression could exist. Through music, they shaped rooms, created connection, and guided shared experiences. Many of the sounds that define nightlife today come from queer communities, especially Black and Latinx scenes. House, disco, and club culture were not neutral developments—they were created in specific social contexts. Day DJ continues this lineage by making space for new voices and keeping that culture active. Day DJ Dee Diva, a Vienna based artist of Caribbean and American descent, strives to bring a new vibe to nightlife with a mix of the latest hip hop and club music, that is, not-so-serious music to dance to, think funky, amapiano, baltimore, grime, afrobeats, hard drum, perreo, dancehall, baile and more. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
