Bajo Un Mismo Sol - Collective Sonic Art Research
Bajo Un Mismo Sol - Collective Sonic Art Research
**Explore sounds of belonging, for you and for others in a three-days’ workshop** **When**: 18th, 19th & 20th of May **Time:** 13.30-18.30 **Where:** Sibelius Academy Töölönlahdenkatu 16 C, 2nd floor The workshop "Bajo un mismo sol" is bilateral and happens simultaneously with participants in Medellín. All together we will train careful listening to places, make and share recordings of places we feel belonging to, and create collective sound maps in the mobile app MSWalks on Kansalaistori, in front of Oodi library, and on the square of Medellín Modern Art Museum. On these sound maps that activate when we walk across the squares with our phones' speakers, we will also improvise with small custom-designed solar-powered electroacoustic instruments. Participating does not require any background in music, but an interest in sound, for encountering new people and sharing ideas related to identity and memories. A careful listening attitude is central to the activities, as well as an interest for sharing and conversing within respect of differences. This workshop is related to a research and the registered participants will receive detailed information prior to decide on consenting to participate to the research. The activities will be documented for research purposes and there are various options for being or not included in the documentation. You may participate to the whole workshop or select the times that suit the best to your schedules. **After registering you will anyway be contacted and given more information, but you may as well ask information prior to registration by email at marianne.decoster-taivalkoski@uniarts.fi.** About the facilitator: Marianne Decoster-Taivalkoski (IG: marianne.d_t ) is a media and sound artist with French origins and based in Helsinki since 1993. She works in music and technology program at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki as a lecturer and an artist- researcher. Her work deals with identities, movement, listening, places and improvisation. She has a long experience in working with groups.

Vibe Coding Finland: May meetup with Antilooppi at VERK
Vibe Coding Finland: May meetup with Antilooppi at VERK
Welcome to our May meetup in Helsinki, arranged together with Antilooppi (https://antilooppi.fi/). Schedule: 17:00 Doors open! 17:30 Welcome words by organizers and Antilooppi 17:40 **The Spec-Driven Revolution: Building the 20X Development Engine** **By Dr Jukka Ala-Mutka, Founder of Managentics** Traditional SaaS is hitting a wall. As job security and project timelines face constant pressure, the "Artisan Coding" model is being replaced by AI-native pipelines. In this session, Jukka also shares how Managentics is operationalising "Spec-Driven Development" to achieve results that were previously impossible. In this deep dive, we will explore: * The Specification Factory: How Managentics transforms raw business intent into high-fidelity agent specifications. This is the "Intent-to-Specs" phase, where business logic is refined into structured blueprints before a single line of code is written. * The Industrial Assembly Line for Software: How we treat platform development not as a manual craft, but as a process-driven assembly line. We apply industrial management principles to digital creation, ensuring every feature follows a repeatable, high-velocity path from the factory to production. * The Power of SDD and TDD: Moving the source of truth from ephemeral syntax to structured business logic (Spec-Driven Development) and rigorous automated validation (Test-Driven Development). In this engine, specifications are the blueprints, and tests are the quality gates. * The 20X Development Engine: How this automated approach achieved 20x efficiency, delivering 200,000 lines of production-grade code in just 3 months. If you’re interested in moving beyond simple prompting to building industrial-scale autonomous capabilities through process-driven management, this talk is for you. About the Speaker: Jukka Ala-Mutka is a Dr Sc. & BSc in Construction Management with over 20 years of experience in strategy and technology. As the founder of Managentics, he is pioneering the "Intent-to-Specs" pipeline, helping organisations transition from human-centric tools to autonomous agent swarms. \*5 min break\* 18:15 **"Building Viral Apps People Love" by Jarno Silander, Founder of Kinoon.fi and Head of Growth at Droppe.** The world is full of digital experiences that fail people. Previously you just had to put up with it, but not anymore thanks to AI. In this session, Jarno shares practical advice on finding your next project and building experiences worth sharing, using the viral cinema platform Kinoon.fi as a working example. In this session, we’ll dive into: * **The Kinoon.fi story**: how virality generated the first 20k users and put Kinoon on track for €800k+ in annual partner sales. * **Finding your next project**: UX arbitrage and using pain as a compass. * **Building shareworthy experiences**: UX frameworks, mental models, and tips that turn users into your distribution channel. * **When taste ends and science begins**: measuring what matters and running experiments to surface unintuitive wins. * **How to just do things**: getting out of your own way. About the speaker: Jarno Silander is a curious startup founder-operator with 7 years of experience helping startups find product-market-fit and scale to their next growth stage. \*5 min break\* 18:50 TBA 19:30 Mingling / free discussion etc 20:00 Doors close **About us** Vibe Coding Finland is a community for developers, designers, business professionals and tech enthusiasts who love to vibe code, learn, and connect in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. Quan will share how a high-stakes system (thousands of daily reservations across 50 hotels in Finland and Estonia) broke free from release anxiety through a testing strategy that made deployments genuinely boring. Results included sustaining 10%+ conversion rate and 4.3+/5 team happiness scores. Attendees will walk away with: the three signs a team isn't ready for Continuous Deployment, the key actions to move from "QA signs off" to “Built-in Quality”, and a battle-tested roadmap they can try out next week Monday. **Pablo's presentation** **Title:** “Doing Things Right the First Time” is the fastest and cheapest way to create Software. **Abstract:** Software projects have a tendency to be late, sometimes so late that the biggest competitor have delivered a better version before you have. Some software projects never deliver or has problems until the weekend before release when it is “saved” by one or two developers. This presentation will walk through the most common reason why projects are late and what to do to avoid it. **Warmly welcoming you all,** **Brgds FTMG organizers;** [Nina](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ninaperta/), [Szilard](https://www.linkedin.com/in/szellszilard/), [Jani ](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jani-gronman/)and [Mikko](https://www.linkedin.com/in/mikko-paloheimo/)

Sketchy Collective: Helsinki Drawing Meetup (15:00 Helsinki time)
Sketchy Collective: Helsinki Drawing Meetup (15:00 Helsinki time)
**HOW TO FIND US** Outdoors: We meet **every Sunday at 15:00** in the **Töölönlahti Park**, opposite the entrance to Pikku-Finlandia. If you’re walking from Oodi, pass the playground with the big swings and the volleyball court. On the left, you’ll find us in the **area with benches, hammocks, and yellow chairs**. Indoors: When it's cold or rainy we move to the **top floor** of the **Oodi** Library, on the stairs opposite the children’s area. It's a good idea to **keep your sketchbook visible** so others can easily recognize that you're there for the sketching meetup. And if you’re a regular participant, making it clear that you're part of the sketching group can be very helpful for newcomers! \*\*\* **HOW IT WORKS** At each meetup, attendees take turns being the model for a quick **10-minute sketch session**. One person poses, everyone else sketches, then we rotate. \*\*\* **WHAT TO BRING** Pencils and paper (or any sketching tools you like). No fees, no pressure. The only thing we ask is that everyone takes a turn posing for the group. You can sit however you feel comfortable — the 10 minutes go by quickly! Draw as much as you like, skip a round if you’re tired or just want to chat, and leave whenever it suits you. The event continues as long as there’s interest. \*\*\* **STAYING CONNECTED** Due to issues with spam and advertising, the group has decided that **only people who have attended at least one meetup will be accepted into the WhatsApp group**. To be added, please ask other participants at the meetup — a few members have permission to approve new people, and at least one of them will likely be present. \*\*\* **SOCIAL MEDIA** If you’d like to share your drawings from the meetup, you can send on WhatsApp group or use the Instagram collab function (instagram.com/sketchy.collective). We warmly encourage everyone to share their work and take part in building our international sketching gallery — together with artists from all the cities where Sketchy Collective meetups are organized.

Can you reshape your reality with just a marker in your hand? Welcome to NeuroTree, an immersive workshop grounded in the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and creative research. Using the Neurographic method, we move beyond traditional art to engage in a unique dialogue with the subconscious mind. The "NeuroTree" is one of the most powerful algorithms in this practice. It is a visual metaphor for your life, allowing you to use your past experiences as the "roots" that fuel your future achievements and "branches" of potential. Neurographics is a meditative drawing process that uses specialized lines and shapes to help "rewire" your emotional response to challenges Join us! ### **The Journey** * Identify Your Roots: Transform your previous experiences and lessons into a solid foundation for growth. * Cultivate Your Potential: Use the NeuroTree algorithm to visualise and manifest new goals, habits, and achievements. * Harmonise Your Mind: Learn the "rounding" technique to smooth out internal conflicts and create a sense of psychological flow. * Shape Your Reality: Discover how intentional drawing can shift your perspective and unlock new pathways in your life. ### **Who Is This For?** This workshop is open to everyone. **No art skills or previous drawing experience are required.** If you are looking for a creative, science-backed way to manage overthinking, boost your confidence, or simply explore your potential, you are in the right place. This workshop is in English, therefore communicating and understanding English is necessary for participation. ### **Location** The location is called **Lapinlahden Lähde** and is situated within the historic Lapinlahti hospital area near Hietaniemi. You can find us at **Lapinlahdenpolku 8**, specifically in the **Tallipääty** (Stable Wing) section of the building. The space is easily accessible by walking or cycling through the park, and once you arrive at the Mitti office entrance, there are clear paths leading to our designated area. Please not that this space is not wheel chair accessible. ### **Additional info** All of our activities are organized with safer space principles. Full Circle is about connection, not workshops. It’s a circle of peers, not a classroom. **By registering for this event, you agree to stand by our shared principles:** * Confidentiality: What is shared in the circle stays in the circle. * Presence: We give our full attention to each other, listening deeply. * Respect: Every voice matters; we value different perspectives and approaches. * Curiosity: We come to explore, not to give definitive answers. * Contribution: Everyone is encouraged to share practices, cases, and reflections. * Commitment: We show up consistently, knowing the community grows through regular participation. **How our gatherings work**: We gather **once a month** in person, and every time we move through the same process: * *Check-in*: We begin by going around the circle, with each person sharing what’s present for them in the moment. * *Shared practice*: One member of the community leads the group through a method, exercise, or embodied practice from their own field. Everyone experiences it first-hand. * *Integration dialogue*: Together, we explore what the practice brought up and how it might be woven into our client work. * *Check-out*: Each person shares one insight they will carry with them.

Trails & Ales! Blendon Woods Metro Park / Forbidden Root Restaurant & Brewery
Trails & Ales! Blendon Woods Metro Park / Forbidden Root Restaurant & Brewery
**History** The history of [Blendon Woods Metro Park](https://www.metroparks.net/parks-and-trails/blendon-woods/) began long before its 1951 opening, rooted in a landscape of rugged ridges and deep ravines that made the land unsuitable for traditional farming. In 1945, a report proposing a metropolitan park system for Franklin County specifically highlighted these cliffs of Bedford Shale as some of the "wildest land in the vicinity". Following this recommendation, the recently formed park district purchased the first 229 acres in early 1949. Because the terrain was so uneven, developers had to cut a mile-and-a-half-long roadway through dense woods just to bring in heavy equipment. This initial preservation effort ensured that the mature second-growth hardwood forests remained largely untouched by the urban expansion spreading toward Westerville. Opening day arrived on Labor Day, September 3, 1951, marking Blendon Woods as the second park in the Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks system. The final push to open was a frantic race; the State Highway Department only finished the primary gravel access road four days before the gates opened. Early staff members, consisting of just four full-time employees, had to hand-dig pit toilets and learn construction skills on the fly to build the first picnic shelters. Despite the dusty conditions and limited facilities, the park was an immediate success, drawing massive crowds from across Central Ohio. By the end of the 1950s, annual visitation had already climbed to over 190,000 people. As the surrounding suburbs grew in the 1960s, the park faced severe overcrowding that threatened its natural habitats. In response, Franklin County voters passed the first Metro Parks levy in 1960, providing the funds necessary for a decade of steady expansion. During this era, the park nearly doubled in size, growing from 264 acres to over 570 acres by 1968. Planners also addressed a critical water shortage by collaborating with the U.S. Soil and Conservation Service to build a lake in 1964. This body of water originally served as a temporary reservoir before its role shifted toward conservation and wildlife support. The 1970s marked a transition toward the specialized wildlife and educational focus for which the park is known today. In 1971, the Walden Waterfowl Refuge was established around the 11-acre Thoreau Lake, creating a sanctuary that remains restricted to provide a quiet habitat for migratory birds. A formal nature center was also developed during this period, expanding on the guided Sunday walks that had been a park staple since the early 1950s. The park’s famous "Monarch Mansion" also became a prominent fixture, starting a long tradition of raising and releasing thousands of monarch butterflies each September. These initiatives cemented the park’s reputation as a premier destination for birders and nature enthusiasts. In more recent decades, Blendon Woods has continued to modernize while maintaining its wilderness character. The 10-acre Natural Play Area was added in 2017, encouraging kids to explore the ravines and woods off-trail. This was followed by the opening of a $1.5 million inclusive playground in April 2025, designed to accommodate children of all physical abilities. The nature center also underwent major renovations to include immersive, three-dimensional exhibits and a new butterfly house. Today, the park encompasses 653 acres, preserving a unique geologic and biological corridor amidst the bustling Westerville and Northeast Columbus area. **Map of the Park** Here is a map of [Blendon Woods](https://www.metroparks.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/BLN_map_Inclusive-Playground-and-Butterfly-Trail_May-2025_1980px.png). **Summary** For this event, we will hike the Lake View, Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook, Brookside, and Sugarbush Trails. This sounds like a lot, but it will really be only a little over five miles. Blendon Woods has a few hills here and there, but it's not one of the more strenuous metro parks. **Where We'll Meet** We'll meet just in front of the Nature Center. This is about a mile into the park from the main entrance. You have to go past the Ranger Station and the Shadblow Reservable Area to get to it, so don't stop too early at the Ranger Station and get it confused with the Nature Center. **After the Hike** Afterward, we will head over to [Forbidden Root Restaurant & Brewery](https://forbiddenroot.com/restaurants/columbus-ohio/) at Easton for [drinks](https://forbiddenroot.com/restaurants/columbus-ohio/#dinner-menu) and [food](https://forbiddenroot.com/wp-content/uploads/Cbus-Food.pdf). We should be there by 5 if you can't make the hike and just want to join us for drinks. The brewery's actual address is [4080 Worth Ave, Columbus, OH 43219](https://www.google.com/maps/place/4080+Worth+Ave,+Columbus,+OH+43219/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x88388a86d10b6619:0x4d42b470a5cf11d3?sa=X&ved=1t:242&ictx=111); however, I recommend pointing your GPS to the [Worth Garage](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Worth+Garage/@40.0542293,-82.9137962,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x88388b4df6082825:0x17582f0eccd9dda1!8m2!3d40.0542293!4d-82.9137962!16s%2Fg%2F11rzfvvv8b?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDQxNS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) across the street. Parking in this garage is free as long as you're not on the first floor, and it is literally right next to the brewery.
