This meet-up is for any piano or music teacher based in Dublin/ Leinster who would like to meet and chat with other piano / music teachers. We mostly work alone so this meet up will give us a chance to chat through any difficulties we may have or share any wins we would like to share! A casual coffee chat about piano / music teaching.

January book club meet up! First one of the year! The book for this month is Ordinary Saints by Niamh Ni Mhaoileoin. This is a **social book club**, the point of this is for lighthearted conversations about shared interests. We will also use the meet up to select next months book so if you've any that you'd like to see on the list of potentials, please let me know! **Please RSVP as soon as possible!** Fees help us ensure people show up and also cover costs of running the book club. You also have a tea/coffee included when attending. So don’t order your coffee straightht away. **Please don't click attending if you're not coming, you're taking someone else's slot.**\***\*** Unfortunately you can't use RSVP for another event. There is a one week cancellation period on every event to allow someone else time to read the book in order to take a vacated spot. Please let me know asap if you are cancelling so we have record of the time. We do not move RSVPs to different events. Also, it is compulsory to RSVP for this event as there is limited space. You will be asked to leave if you have no RSVP. These rules are to ensure we have enough space, to ensure our costs are covered and to not take up space in a venue that we don't need so we can keep going back! Any questions, let me know! Details: SPACE: Four participant sewing class, plus the host, held in a comfortable, spacious living room , with double doors beside us, as we work. CLASS CONTENT: Learn to use a sewing machine (maybe bring your own along if you wish to gain confidence in using it) Make a cute cotton tote bag (or your own project) / have some fun / meet like minded new friends and learn a new skill / craft. Progress to make a simple piece of clothing! What’s available: * Complimentary glass of juice if you wish. * Bring your own machine or if you wish you’re welcome to use mine. * Hand sanitiser/wipes available. * Plenty of space. * Warm room. * Professional teacher. MATERIALS: I supply large selection of threads / pins / needles and rippers! You may wish to bring your own fabric and extras eg. ribbon, lace etc for your individual item (happy to help you choose/source fabrics) Also up-cycling of an old crisp cotton dress or shirt is encouraged.

TOG will be open on Tuesday evenings from 19:00 to 21:30 for a general Open House event. Expect to find members and visitors in the space up to all sorts of activities. It's a great time to drop in and see what the space is about. If you're an artist, tinkerer, maker or just plain curious, come in and see what the space is about. Maybe you already have something to work on (or want to), have something to fix, create, design, bodge or tinker... drop in. We're also open for just for plain old social chat and hang out, with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. We have lots of free parking right outside our door.

The goal of this group is simple: to support and encourage each other to write more (myself included). I love writing short stories, but too often life gets in the way and I find excuses not to do it. This monthly group gathers together on the last Tuesday of every month in the lovely *Third Space* cafe in Smithfield to share and get feedback on our work. We’ll each get the chance to share an extract from a piece we’ve written, read it aloud and get feedback (in a nice quiet creative space). Any form of writing is great – whether screenwriting, poetry, flash fiction or something else. We pride ourselves in promoting a really friendly, safe space to share freely, but if you’d prefer to listen for the first while, that’s cool too. There is a lift for those with mobility issues but please check with staff if it's working. No? Then this might be the challenge for you. 👀 **Welcome to The Cozy Sketchbook Club!** Every 2 weeks, we draw something ordinary... with personality. The theme this time? **Grumpy Teacups.** We’ll give faces, moods and miniature dramas to the most ordinary of objects. Think frowning mugs, sleepy spoons, or a tea bag in existential crisis. You don’t need anything fancy. Just bring: * your sketchbook (or any paper) * your favorite pen or pencil * and maybe your own teacup’s tragic backstory I’ll bring some paper and sketching supplies too, in case someone forgets! This meetup isn’t about making polished art. It’s about sitting side by side, making things just for the joy of it, getting out HOPEFULLY of the art block! About us: The Tibetan Dharma and Meditation Group is part of a Buddhist organisation based in Taiwan, which is centred on one of the greatest living Rinpoches (teachers) in the world at the moment. It aims to introduce people living in Ireland to Buddhist teachings and practices that have been passed to Rinpoche through his masters and their masters going back many, many generations in order to benefit and bring peace to all sentient beings. Location: We hold our meetings in the small hall at Sandyford Community Centre, Lambs Cross, Sandyford, Dublin 18.

This is a group for all ages for anyone who has been affected by having a loved one with a diagnosis of dementia. You can stay as little or as long as you wish. It is open house style. This is a very informal group. I will have purple flowers on the table where we are sitting. I look forward to meeting you!
