We are in the midst of a trilogy of topics - three topics that connect with one another to form a story. In January we discussed ‘The Role of the Soul.’ What does it mean to be a human being? This month we are going to look at ‘What is Evil?.’ What is wrong with us and the world? Then in March we will have a conversation about Hope. So what classifies somethings as Evil? We all would think that this world has elements to it that are bad, undesirable and harmful. But are those same elements evil? Is it a matter of kind or degree or both? Would something good have the potential to become evil? What role might intent be a part of our conception of evil? Can evil be eliminated or merely controlled? Is evil a part of human nature? Do we all have a dark side? What does evil look like out there in the world? You are welcome to join us for a discussion about Evil at Smithfield Third Space cafe, Tuesday, 10.Feb.. at 7:15. Details: SPACE: Four participant sewing class, plus the host, held in a comfortable, spacious living room , with double doors beside us, as we work. CLASS CONTENT: Learn to use a sewing machine (maybe bring your own along if you wish to gain confidence in using it) Make a cute cotton tote bag (or your own project) / have some fun / meet like minded new friends and learn a new skill / craft. Progress to make a simple piece of clothing! What’s available: * Complimentary glass of juice if you wish. * Bring your own machine or if you wish you’re welcome to use mine. * Hand sanitiser/wipes available. * Plenty of space. * Warm room. * Professional teacher. MATERIALS: I supply large selection of threads / pins / needles and rippers! You may wish to bring your own fabric and extras eg. ribbon, lace etc for your individual item (happy to help you choose/source fabrics) Also up-cycling of an old crisp cotton dress or shirt is encouraged.

TOG will be open on Tuesday evenings from 19:00 to 21:30 for a general Open House event. Expect to find members and visitors in the space up to all sorts of activities. It's a great time to drop in and see what the space is about. If you're an artist, tinkerer, maker or just plain curious, come in and see what the space is about. Maybe you already have something to work on (or want to), have something to fix, create, design, bodge or tinker... drop in. We're also open for just for plain old social chat and hang out, with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. We have lots of free parking right outside our door.

Life Drawing Session, Tuesday evenings 6:30-9:30pm and Saturday afternoons 12-3pm in lovely Dublin City centre studio, with huge south facing bay windows and loads of natural light. There is a lift for those with mobility issues but please check with staff if it's working. Then we will be walking to 5 minute walk South Townsend Street. We are getting 133 Bus Eireann (Stop Number 341) Duration is 1 Hour 3 Minutes (21 Stops). We will be getting off at the Newtownmountkennedy Bus Stop (Estimated 12:23) After we get off the Bus we will be walking for 5 minutes to the Car Park. For those who are driving or cycling, you can park at Newtonmountkennedy Woods Car Park, We should arrive at 12:30 (This is a estimation). Catalyst Coffee, The Coffee Place, Bunters Coffee Shop and The Walled Garden Coffee and Restraunt is also there. Also there is a few shops such as Dunnes Stores there too. Duration 2.9 KM 1 Hour but we can do more. Pets are welcome on leads

About us: The Tibetan Dharma and Meditation Group is part of a Buddhist organisation based in Taiwan, which is centred on one of the greatest living Rinpoches (teachers) in the world at the moment. It aims to introduce people living in Ireland to Buddhist teachings and practices that have been passed to Rinpoche through his masters and their masters going back many, many generations in order to benefit and bring peace to all sentient beings. Location: We hold our meetings in the small hall at Sandyford Community Centre, Lambs Cross, Sandyford, Dublin 18.

Poolpeg Lighthouse Walking Loop. We will be meeting at Sandymount Dart Station for 12:00. How ro get there ? You can get the North or Southbound Train or Sandymount Train Station or you can get the C3 Bus there to bus it is a five minute walk. At 12:10 we will be making our way Sandymount Strand this will be leading us to Sean Moore Park, we will continue to walk along the coast then we will be walking through Irishtown Nature Park, this will lead us t the great Great South Wall Walk. Then we will be heading up the pier, pleease be very careful the pavement can be very uneven, so please be cautious. It can be quite windy by the waves, so wrap up warm.. When we get to the Lighthouse, you will be able to see all the coast of Dublin. The Walk would be about 2 Hours 30 Minutes. Length of the walk of the walk is 10 KM. Dogs are welcome on keads.
