**Welcome to Paradise!** **Nosy Be, meaning "big island" in the Malagasy language**, is a beachy paradise located 8 km off the northwestern coast of Madagascar. **It's in fact a volcanic archipelago with a** **warm tropical climate, pristine white-sand beaches, eleven crater lakes,** and habitats which are home to numerous endemic plant and animal species. At 320 square kilometers, Nosy Be is the **largest island of an archipelago**, and its several smaller neighbors nearby make it the ideal place for island hopping and sampling an array of picture-postcard beaches. One of the main attractions of the archipelago is its marine life, and waters surrounding many of the islets are **excellent spots for scuba diving and snorkelling**. The French colonized Nosy Be from 1840, founding an outpost named **Hell-Ville** which became an important trade harbor in the Mozambique Channel. Now the capital, the city offers French colonial buildings and a glimpse of day-to-day local life at its lively markets and craft centers. In the southeast of Nosy Be is its most famous attraction: **Lokobe National Park,** a 740-hectare sanctuary known for its rare panther chameleon population, black lemurs, geckos, frogs and much more. One of Madagascar's five Strict Nature Reserves, Lokobe encompasses **an old-growth forest with ancient endemic tree species** – the last remaining primary rainforest on the island. A wildlife-spotting trek through this lush coastal haven brimming with ylang-ylang, orchids, palm trees and ferns is an experience to remember. **Ready to explore the islands of your dreams? Let’s go!** **DAY 1 // ARRIVAL IN NOSY BE** Meet at DXB at 2am for a flight via Addis. Arrival, immigration procedure and one-hour drive to our beach-side hotel, where we’ll be based for the duration of the trip. We’ll settle in, indulge in the beautiful surroundings and head for a sunset to Sakatia. **Sunset at Sakatia** A short boat ride off the west coast of Nosy Be is Nosy Sakatia, a road-free island with picture-perfect beaches, rare birds and endemic flora. What it’s most known for, however, is its coral reef teeming with ocean life. With its marine ecosystem located inside a protected area, the island’s waters offer an unforgettable snorkelling or diving experience. **DAY 2 // HELL-VILLE & MONT PASSOT** We’ll enjoy a relaxing morning, with a trip to the local crafts market for those who are interested in purchasing a souvenir. After lunch at the seaside, we’ll drive about an hour to reach the highest viewpoint in Nosy Be – the dormant volcano Mount Passot. From more than 300m up, we’ll have a magnificent panoramic view of Nosy Be’s volcanic lakes, the surrounding islands, and the sparkling, multi-hued coastal waters. We’ll settle in and enjoy a beautiful sunset before heading back to the hotel. **DAY 3 // LOKOBE NATIONAL PARK** Early departure this morning as we embark on our first adventure, in Lokobe National Park. We’ll hit the road towards the southeast of the island, passing by the capital of Hell-Ville. After about an hour we’ll reach the village of Ambatozavavy, where we’ll pile into local fishing boats and make our way through dense mangrove forests to reach the park. Our 2-3 hour, ranger-led hike will take us through dense forest and lush greenery, where we’ll keep our eyes peeled to spot endemic wildlife and plants, including lemurs and rare chameleons. When we’ve had our fill of exploring, we’ll head back to our lodgings, stopping for lunch along the way. Afternoon at leisure for swimming and relaxing on the beach. **DAY 4 // NOSY ANTSOHA & NOSY IRANJA** Today we have another magical island excursion, taking in two of Nosy Be’s neighbors. First we’ll make a stop at tiny Nosy Antsoha, where a nature walk will bring us face-to-face with the three different species of lemurs which call the island home. We’ll continue on to Nosy Iranja, connected to Nosy Be by a sandbank that is covered during high tide and revealed during low tide. Its shores and shallow waters provide a habitat for sea turtles, hence its nickname of “Turtle Island”. In this beautiful, white sand paradise, the inviting waters appear in every shade of blue. We’ll tuck into a picnic lunch on a dreamy beach and enjoy our little piece of heaven. Return to our lodgings in the afternoon and evening at leisure. **DAY 5 // DEPARTURE** Morning time at leisure until we say goodbye to paradise and transfer back to the airport for our flight home. **Grade:** easy and relaxing tropical holidays. **Activities:** island hopping, trekking, sightseeing, beach strolling, boating. There are cities that grow slowly, block by block, and then there is Chongqing, a place that seems to have been **designed by a dragon with a passion for bridges, neon lights, and vertical chaos**. Built where the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers meet, Chongqing rises in layers of towers, staircases, hidden lanes, and roads that appear to ignore conventional geometry. Here, trains pass through apartment buildings, streets sit above other streets, and maps become more of a suggestion than a rule. Yet beneath the modern frenzy lies an old mountain city of teahouses, river traders, and fiercely proud cuisine. **It is less a destination and more an event.** From this urban theatre, the road leads south to Wulong Karst National Geology Park, where nature appears to have worked on a grand scale with no interest in moderation. **Limestone bridges as tall as skyscrapers arc across deep valleys, caves open like cathedral doors,** and cliffs plunge into green shadows far below. Waterfalls slip from the rock face, mist curls through the ravines, and every turn looks suspiciously like a film set, because some of it actually was. This is the kind of landscape that leaves hikers speechless and photographers convinced they need just one more shot. **If Chongqing is human imagination unleashed, Wulong is the earth’s imagination revealed.** Further east, the Yangtze narrows and the land tightens into the legendary Three Gorges. Near Fengjie stands **Baidi City, perched above the river will make you think a visionary had perfect location in mind.** Temples, pavilions, and ancient stone paths overlook waters that have carried merchants, poets, generals, and no doubt a few people who took the wrong boat. This is a landscape where history does not sit in museums, it hangs in the mist and echoes in the cliffs. Then comes Wushan, gateway to one of the most dramatic corners of the gorges. Mountains rise sharply from the riverbanks, clouds gather theatrically, and ridgelines stretch into the distance like the spine of some sleeping giant. Here the famous **Dragon Spine hike** traces narrow heights above the Yangtze, rewarding brave legs with grand views and mildly offended calves. It is the sort of trail that reminds you how small you are. One moment you are catching your breath, the next you are wondering why your camera cannot capture scale, wind, or goosebumps. And just when you think the journey has reached peak spectacle, Chongqing welcomes you back with hot springs, massage tables, glowing skylines, and enough evening lights to convince the stars to retire early. This region’s genius lies in its contrasts: city and wilderness, ancient legend and futuristic energy, strenuous adventure and glorious laziness. Begin at Liziba Monorail Station, where a train passes directly through a residential building with complete confidence. Continue to Jiefangbei CBD, the energetic commercial heart of the city, before sampling the fragrant chaos of Bayi Road Food Street. Later, stroll along Daijiaxiang Walkway for skyline views that seem designed for cinema. End the evening at Hongya Cave, glowing above the river like an ancient palace that discovered electricity. **Day 2 :: Chongqing – Wulong** Travel into the countryside where the city’s neon drama gives way to geological theatre. At Wulong Karst National Geology Park, vast limestone landscapes rise with the confidence of monuments built by time itself. Explore the celebrated Three Natural Bridges, colossal arches spanning deep valleys with almost unnecessary grandeur. Continue into Longshuixia Fissure Gorge, where waterfalls, cliffs, and narrow passages create a scene somewhere between fantasy novel and tectonic masterpiece. Arriving here feels like entering the prologue to an epic mountain story. **Day 4 :: Three Gorges Dragon Spine Hike** Today belongs to altitude, perspective, and pleasantly challenged leg muscles. The Dragon Spine trail above Wushan follows dramatic ridgelines overlooking the Yangtze and the surrounding mountains. Each turn reveals deeper gorges, sharper peaks, and views that make ordinary postcards seem underqualified. The path is adventurous without losing its dignity, thrilling without becoming theatrical. Return to Chongquing with tired feet, clear lungs, and a suspicious number of photographs. But its not yet time for bed, as evening falls, the city skyline resumes its role as one of Asia’s great visual spectacles. Its time for a Chongquing synchronized drone light show that turns the sky itself into entertainment. **Day 5 :: Wushan – Chongqing** Civilization greets you with comfort and excellent timing. In this session we'll explore strategies to protect our codebases through unit and integration testing, documentation, and code review along with additional ways of providing context and guard rails to our AI agents as they carry out the work we've assigned them to do.
