Agentic Engineering
Agentic Engineering
Join us for an evening of deep technical insights into the future of AI-assisted software development. This meetup brings together industry leaders to explore cutting-edge approaches to agentic engineering, from specification-driven development to preserving human flow states in AI-powered workflows. **Venue:** Suntec Tower 3, 8 Temasek Boulevard, #30-01/02, Singapore 038988 **Date:** 25 Feb **Schedule:** * 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Registration & Networking * 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Speaker Sessions & Q&A ## Featured Speakers **Sergey Saburov, Director of Software Engineering, Acronis** **Topic:** *Spec-Driven Development: Modern Strategies for Human-AI Collaboration* Dive into an in-depth comparison of specification-first methodologies in the era of AI-assisted engineering. This session evaluates different approaches to Spec-Driven Development (SDD), contrasting rigid, blueprint-heavy frameworks with lightweight, iterative change-tracking systems. Sergey examines practical workflows—from initial design to automated implementation—discussing how treating specifications as the "Source of Truth" helps teams eliminate technical debt, minimize AI hallucinations, and maintain architectural integrity in complex codebases. **Sanjeev Solanki, NLP Lead Engineer (AI),** **Constructor Technology** **Topic:** *AI Research Assistant: From Papers to Production with Agentic AI* This talk explores how AI can go beyond chatbots to become a structured research collaborator. We’ll look at an AI Research Assistant that reads papers, analyzes code, understands datasets, and generates executable plans using multi-agent orchestration. Learn how agentic workflows and context engineering help reduce hallucinations and bridge the gap between research ideas and production-ready solutions. **Ake, Developer Experience Director, Chainstack** **Topic:** *Building a Flow State Companion for Agentic Coding* We as humans have the capability of entering flow states—the deeply productive, creative, and rewarding sessions that almost always produce the best results. AI Builders Co-work + The Stage: The Complexity Machine
AI Builders Co-work + The Stage: The Complexity Machine
**Friday is our open co-working day.** People come to work on their own projects, take breaks together, and usually stay through the afternoon. It’s quiet, focused, and builder- and founder-led. You can arrive anytime from 10AM. Most people show up after lunch and settle in before 1.30pm. Bring your laptop. Grab any open seat. Stay as long as you like. At 1.30pm, we pause work briefly for a shared session called The Stage, then everyone goes back to working. This is how Fridays here work. **The Stage @ 1.30PM** *The Stage is a short, open-format session where builders and founders share something they are actively working on. A workflow, a technical breakdown, a lesson learned, or just a topic keeping him/her up at night.* *The goal is to spark ideas you can try immediately after, during the same afternoon. After the session ends, most people simply open their laptops again and continue working.* *Interested to speak? Express interest here: [form here](https://sq-collective.notion.site/2a1aae2f95ae80e38156eaecfc9eb885?pvs=105)* **Title: The Complexity Machine — A philosopher's take on the enterprise** [Farhad Ghayour](https://www.linkedin.com/in/farhadg/) is a creative technologist and former McKinsey consultant with a background in philosophy, math, and programming. He's spent years in startups and leading enterprise transformations, authored two technical books, and contributes to open-source. He's currently building the WebGL/WebGPU community space and his next venture in interactive content. This is the first of an ongoing series towards building a new mental model of strategy for the increasingly complex AI-native world. In this session, we will first lay the groundwork on how companies are actually an abstraction layer for complexity. First, your value to customers is your ability to first absorb, and then translate external complexities into outcomes meaningful for them. Second, your ability to manage internal complexities also determines your chances of surviving as an organization. From this point of view, management of complexity is at the core of what a enterprise does. Yet, we do not have a clear language and mental model for communicating and understanding complexity. Takeaway: A new mental model for viewing the role of modern enterprises, and how it will help you the increasingly complex AI-native business environment. After the session, we go back to work.

Personal Agents Cloud and Edge
Personal Agents Cloud and Edge
The hot topic this month is OpenClaw - and making sure that you too can "feel the AI". Talks: **"Lessons from OpenClaw" - Sam Witteveen** In this talk, Sam will break down how OpenClaw works, its key components and the lessons that you can take from it for building your own personal agents with personality, tools, skills and the stack used to create a successful system. **"Coherent Multi-agent Trajectory Forecasting in Team Sports with CausalTraj" - Teoh Wei Zhen** Can we predict how a basketball play unfolds in the next few seconds? In this lightning talk, Wei Zhen will present \*CausalTraj\*, his AAAI 2026 workshop paper on generative modelling for sports analytics - jointly modelling all interacting entities in the game to achieve SoTA performance and laying the foundation for controllable gameplay simulation. **"MobileClaw - Agents in your Pocket" - Martin Andrews** Martin has been playing around with something that "is like a personal agent system (just a hobby, won't be big and professional like OpenClaw) for web+mobile." Expect (at minimum) some vibe coding war stories - and (at maximum) a live demo! **FOOD UPDATE :** Google has told us that **there WILL BE** pizza at the event \-\-\- Talks will start at 7:10pm (entry at 6:45pm) and end at around 9:00pm, at which point attendees can come up to the front for a bit of a chat with each other, and the speakers. Due to some recent security incidents at the venue please take note of the new DevSpace security procedures [https://bit.ly/devspace-security](https://bit.ly/devspace-security) Attendees will not be admitted later than 15min after the talks have started. As always, we're actively looking for more speakers - both '30 minutes long-form', and lightning talks. For the lightning talks, we welcome folks to come and talk about something cool they've done with keras, PyTorch, JAX and/or Deep Learning for 5-10mins (so, if you have slides, then #max=10). We believe that the key ingredient for the success of a Lightning Talk is simply the cool/interesting factor. It doesn't matter whether you're an expert or an enthusiastic beginner: Given the responses we have had to previous talks, we're sure there are lots of people who would love to hear what you've been playing with. If you're interested in talking, please just introduce yourself to Martin at one of the events.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Google Analytics Alternatives
Data & Analytics Wednesday - Google Analytics Alternatives
**Google Analytics Alternatives** Is it finally time to make the switch away from Google Analytics? Two-and-a-half years ago Jason Packer asked this question at Columbus Web Analytics Wednesday. Since then: Google’s Universal Analytics has been sunset, we’ve changed our name to Columbus Data & Analytics Wednesday, and Jason has released two editions of his book “Google Analytics Alternatives”. Fresh off the release of the 2nd edition of his book, we thought it was time to re-open this conversation. While people love to complain about it, GA’s market share has remained relatively constant (at least in the United States). Why is that? You won’t find any complaints about GA4 in this talk, but rather an overview of what’s currently available in the market and how to frame your decision-making process. We’ll also be giving out some free copies of Jason’s book! So even if you’ve got a “GA4Lyfe” tattoo (no judgement), there’s free books to go with the free pizza and beer. Projects that are over budget, delayed, or that fail to scale past the POC phase are very common. In many of these scenarios, choosing the right approach can be as critical as the solution itself. Should you build a tailored machine learning model, leverage the power of large language models (LLMs), or integrate with AI copilots? Each option has unique strengths, trade-offs, and resource requirements, and the key to success lies in aligning your choice with your business goals and technical constraints. In this talk, we will go beyond the basic concepts and definitions to provide a practical guide that allows attendees to navigate these decisions through real-world case studies. We will examine scenarios in which different AI paradigms were chosen, discuss the factors that influenced those decisions, and outline the process for evaluating needs, constraints, and outcomes. From assessing data availability and team expertise to balancing cost and scalability, you'll gain insights into the critical considerations that guide the selection process. By the end of this session, you’ll have a clear process for determining whether machine learning, LLMs, or copilots are best suited to your AI challenges and understand the resources and strategies needed to bring your chosen solution to life. This talk is ideal for decision-makers, technical leads, and innovators seeking to demystify AI implementation and maximize the impact of their investments.
