Tolle Berlinerinnen und Berliner, als ich schreibe, sitze ich im Wald zwischen Buchen und Eichen auf meinem Campingstuhl und genieße die Ruhe des Sonnenlichts. Suchst du nach Freiheit von dem Lärm der Szene, Lärm der Stadt? Möchtest du Brücken mit interkulturellen, diversen Leuten aufbauen? Dieses Jahr möchte ich unbedingt neue Leute, die Tiefe und Empathie haben kennenlernen. Diesen Leuten meine Zeit geben, und gegenseitige Freundschaften hoffentlich aufbauen. Selbst glaube ich, dass Mädels und Jungs einander nicht verstehen können, wenn der Sinn von einer Person 100% einer Geschlecht ist und die Person keines der Geschlecht gegenüber kennt. Idealerweise sollte der Sinn 50/50 weiblich/männlich sein, dass wir uns ideal verstehen können. Selbst bin ich Künstler, der sich für Farbphysik (Colour Phenomena) interessiert. Zum Beispiel ein roses Kirschbaum in der blauen morgen Stunde. Oder blaue Bäume im Licht eines bedeckten Sommer Tag, auch wenn jeder glaubt, dass man sachlich weiß, ‚Bäumen sind grün!‘ Colour sind, glaube ich, hauptsächlich weibliche Phänomene. Und als Künstler empfand ich seit langem eine Affinität für Colour. Das Bild oben ist ein Kunstwerk von mir. Ich möchte die ruhigen Leuten erreichen, also der Treff ist entweder Online, per Signal Messenger (Link zur Gruppe im Kommentar) um neue Verbindungen leicht zu machen, oder auch sogar besser persönlich, wenn du dich spontan unterwegs sein will und persönlich treffen will. We have one long pose - you can choose whether to draw several studies from different angles around the room, or take your time to do a single sustained drawing or painting in full detail. The pose is held for 20 minute intervals with five minute breaks in-between so the model to rest and stretch, and so artists can move between seats if they choose. Join us this Friday at Treptower Park for a cozy evening of board games and connection! The mission of Quarter Life Connections is to create spaces for **young people in their twenties** to connect and feel at home in Berlin - especially once the familiar structures of university life stop being there and work life starts. We will start with a quick get-to-know-you round and then split up into smaller groups for games. After up to 2 hours of playing we will close with a check-out-and-stay-in-touch round. The intention is to have fun while getting to know the people around you and form start building connections that will last after the event is over. **Please be on time!** The intro circle sets the tone for the event and is a huge support for making meaningful connections. In diesem Workshop wagen wir uns an das vielschichtige Themengebiet *Liebe und Beziehungen* heran. Menschen sind Beziehungswesen: Zugehörigkeit, Verbundenheit, Nähe, Sexualität, Sicherheit und Geborgenheit zählen zu unseren Grundbedürfnissen. Für die meisten von uns ist eine erfüllte Partnerschaft eines der erstrebenswertesten Ziele im Leben. Wenn wir uns jedoch in der Gesellschaft und in unserem persönlichen Umfeld umsehen, scheint es, als wären wir kaum imstande, gesunde Beziehungen zu führen. Der Großteil von uns hat bereits mehrere Beziehungen hinter sich. Oft können wir nicht einmal klar benennen, woran sie gescheitert sind. Anhand der Erfahrungen, Beobachtungen und Interessen aller Teilnehmenden nähern wir uns den Fragen, die uns immer wieder bewegen. Wir erforschen, * was eine erfüllte Beziehung für jede:n bedeutet * was wir brauchen, um gelingende Beziehungen zu führen, * was uns dabei - persönlich und gesellschaftlich - im Weg steht, * und vor allem, wie wir daran arbeiten können. Wir forschen gemeinsam mithilfe des [re:nature® Kompasses](https://umainstitut.net/ueber-uns/renature-ansatz/). Dieses Lebensrad hilft uns dabei, komplexen Themen wie unseren Liebesbeziehungen eine Struktur zu geben. Angelehnt an die jahreszeitlichen Zyklen der Natur (Frühling - Sommer - Herbst - Winter) sind schließlich auch Beziehungen diesen Zyklen unterworfen: Verliebtheit - Commitment - Krisenzeiten - Trennung oder Neuausrichtung. Unser theoretisches Erforschen verbinden wir mit Übungen zur bewussten Körperwahrnehmung sowie mit kreativen Aufstellungen. Denn unser Ziel ist es, aus dem Erleben heraus neue Erfahrungen und Inspiration in die eigenen Beziehungen hinein zu tragen. Learn essential lessons about the Declaration of Independence from Denver Brunsman, is an incredibly engaging speaker who has built a big following among Profs and Pints fans in and around Washington D.C. Professor Brunsman will start by discussing the Declaration’s background, composition, and philosophical underpinnings. You’ll learn how by 1776 American colonists had resisted British policies for thirteen years and endured open warfare with Britain for more than a year. We’ll look at how this imperial crisis influenced the Declaration’s primary author, Thomas Jefferson, as well as the larger Declaration Committee and the Second Continental Congress. In recent years, scholars have focused particularly on the previously underappreciated grievance section of the Declaration. Rather than simply being an afterthought to the more famous preamble (“all men are created equal”), the grievances followed a logical order that carefully presented the case against King George III and the British Empire for a “candid world” to consider. Professor Brunsman will fill you in on how that list of grievances rallied Americans and other nations to the cause. A document both timeless and of its time, the Declaration quickly soared beyond its humble origins as a committee report to become synonymous with American independence and an inspiration for rebellion elsewhere. Dr. Brunsman will consider the place of the Declaration in American life, from the eighteenth century to today, and how the document helped shape much of American history while influencing “the course of human events” throughout the world. Trump has been widely criticized by religious leaders for these remarks, made in response to the pontiff’s advocacy of peace with the U.S and Israel at war with Iran, and for his separate posts of AI-generated images depicting himself as a pope and as Jesus. For his part, Pope Leo has told journalists, “I am not afraid of the Trump administration,” and has found himself at the center of a heated debate over the proper role of any pope when it comes to commenting on global politics. As unsettling as such developments might be to Roman Catholics, they’re hardly unprecedented. Disagreements between popes and world leaders go back to the Middle Ages, and have played a significant role in shaping the Church and its role in the world. Explore the long history of popes’ conflicts with politicians with Vanessa Corcoran, a historian of the Roman Catholic Church who previously has given excellent talks on papal conclaves and the evolution of nativity scenes. She’ll discuss fascinating developments such as the fourteenth century Avignon Papacy, when Philip IV of France got the upper hand in a feud with the Church by pressuring a papal conclave to select a French pope and then getting the church’s leadership relocated from Rome to Avignon for nearly 70 years. In drawing parallels between recent events and medieval attacks on the Church’s authority she’ll describe how today’s anti-Church memes echo the anti-pope and anti-Catholic images that Martin Luther disseminated in large numbers with the help of woodcut printing. We’ll look at tensions between past presidents and past popes over not just wars, but issues such as abortion, stem-cell research, and abortion access.
