Join us every other Sunday for the Open Clown Workshop at The Comedy Clubhouse Barcelona. Whether you’re an experienced clown wanting to exercise your clowning muscles or a complete beginner full of curiosity this workshop is for you. Sessions will usually focus on one particular aspect of clown for example: bafflement, befriending uncertainty, staying curious, freedom in failure, connecting with your pleasure, finding the game, eye contact with the audience. Our usual workshop teachers are experienced clowns who perform regularly in Barcelona and around the world. They have either trained with the legendary clown master Philipe Gaulier; performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; organised their own cabaret shows; or have experience of developing clown numbers elsewhere. While every teacher has different strengths and exercises they’ll share, each workshop is designed to inspire you and help develop your skills as a comedic performer. This is a great place to meet new people, play games, have fun & learn new skills! The session lasts from 15.00 until 17:30 and it operates as a Pay What You Want workshop (suggested donation between 5 and 15 euros). It takes place at the Comedy Clubhouse on Via Laietana (be careful because there are two Comedy Clubhouses! It does not take place at the one on Carrer Canvis Nous!)

Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games! Tonight's a special one; this is "Long form" night! Most nights here at Improv Meetup, we play "short form" games, where the host has established rules that the players must adhere to. These scenes frequently do not tell a connected story and are focused on following those rules; games such as "Alphabet Game" where every next sentence needs to start with the next letter of the alphabet, or "Interrogation" where it's a guessing game. Tonight is focused on "long form", where we will see groups of people come up and do a sort of improvised play. There may be rules to the structure itself to adhere to, or it may be more free form, but doing this allows players to establish a shared world, and to establish characters and callbacks. While your average game may last 2-3 minutes, a long form set will last much longer, and have 4+ people involved. This may be a more complicated night, but we will make sure you feel supported to try this out. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment.
