## Stand up Comedy Live - Dark Comedy Night Get ready for a night full of laughs and some seriously dark humor! ⚠️🚨🚨The author will be with us in June! The Girl with the Louding Voice, published in 2020, tells the story of a 14-year-old girl promised to a forced marriage with an old man in her village. Despite numerous obstacles, she fights to achieve her dream of becoming a teacher and empowering other young girls facing the same fate. The novel partly written in Pidgin is both funny and inspiring. The sequel to this first book was published in 2024. It is named « And So I Roar ». Abi Daré is a award-winning author. Her debut novel The Girl with the Louding Voice won the Bath Novel Award in 2018 before it was published, and was shortlisted for several prizes for first novels, including the Desmond Elliott Prize. More recently, her second novel And So I Roar won the inaugural Climate Fiction Prize, a major international award recognising outstanding climate-themed fiction. Both books are available in Luxembourg librairies!
