**Talk by** **Stefani Vujic - The fall and rise of conversational content design.**
These days, everyone wants to be conversational. E-commerce, medtech, fintech, all the techs. If youâre a corporate brand, it seems like youâll do anything to not sound like it. Instead, a trend to âlevel with our customersâ and âspeak our usersâ languageâ appears to dominate.
In this talk, we'll examine why one of UX writing's favourite frenemies is so devilishly difficult to execute well. Spoiler: Real conversations are spontaneous, situational and physical â basically everything computers are not. So when should interfaces chat, when should they shut up and how do we tell the difference?
**Talk by Mareike Bonitz - How to make your whole organization understand and support Product work**
In this talk, the audience will receive concrete examples of bringing Product principles closer to other teams. How can we make the whole company be more data-driven, validate their hypotheses before executing, understand the why, work more cross-functionally? The talk should inspire and give a hands on toolbox for bringing more Product sense to everyone.

About us: We are a bunch of people of all ages and backgrounds, gathering to share the common passion for improv.
Improvisation, or Improv for short, is a form of live theatre in which the story, characters and scenes are without a script and made up in the moment, completely different every time. The actors are acting, directing themselves, writing the plot and interacting with each other all at the same time without previous planning.
Improvisation can help you with your social and business skills by training your mind to think quickly and react to unexpected situations. In Improvisation, there are no lines to memorize and you play off other creatively challenged fun-loving, global-minded people who loves laughing at themselves.
Itâs a great way to socialize and make new friends. Itâs a welcoming atmosphere, we want you to join in the fun, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced improviser â come and lets enjoy together!
We usually start with some warm-ups that help us relax, listen and focus. Then we move on to doing different kinds of short scene fun games with each other, making characters, stories and our small worlds. In improv mistakes are welcome and you will have goooood times!
We charge 50 kr in advance in order to cover our expenses. Swish is king!

This season our Klangbad is going to be performed in English to include some of our many Expats in our community. The instruments are doing most of the work, but the prayer and the meditation is going to be in English. Everybody is welcome of course.
Itâs said that the sound of the Tibetan bowls, the shaman drum, gongs and other instruments can calibrate the nervous system and the frequencies of our organs.

Speak Easy (Storytelling)

Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. The film is earning a 95% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where critics call it an âold school blockbuster crowd-pleaserâ and âa new sci-fi classic!â Itâs âdeeply hopeful,â well-acted,â funny,â âdramatic,â and âexceptionally rousing throughout!â Others call it âsomething truly magicalâ and one that âweâll be talking about this one for decades to come!â And I believe Slashfilm says it best: âIt will lift up and squeeze your heart, crack you up with laughter, and give you a sense of hope and wonder in a way that few movies have been able to inspire.â
MOVIE PLAN: Please purchase your ticket for the 2:30pm SuperScreen DLX showing and meet in the lobby area between 2:05 and 2:15pm! Tickets already on sale and will likely move fast for this hot ticket / opening weekend showing so advance ticket purchase as soon as possible is advised! Join us for an hour of writing! Weâve discovered that itâs strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if itâs true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 25 at Streetlight Guild.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
**SCHEDULE:**
6:45ish - Quick introductions
7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour
8:00 - The End
**OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
**BEING LATE IS OKAY:** just show up and get settled! If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.

Whatever you need to be able to write! You're welcome to bring earplugs/headphones if noise will bother you!
**OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS:**
* **RSVP:** Please RSVP by 6:00pm the evening of the meeting. This helps me know how many to expect, and if we'll need additional space!
* **COVID:** While masks are not required, please be mindful of the other writers around you and their comfort levels.
* **WIFI/OUTLETS:** Outlets are limited, so please ensure your devices are charged when you come! But Streetlight Guild does have free WiFi! Yay!
* **PARKING:** There is free public parking at Streetlight Guild.
