Sie ist überzeugt, dass gutes User-Centered Design nicht nur Produkte verbessert, sondern das Leben erleichtert – manchmal sogar rettet. Sie hat vor langer Zeit Mathematik studiert und in Informatik über verteilte Algorithmen promoviert. Sie hätte nicht gedacht, dass dieses Wissen noch einmal so praktisch sein würde in ihrer Arbeit an der Schnittstelle zwischen Mensch und Maschine. Sibylle setzt sich in jedem Projekt dafür ein, dass Technologie verständlich und nützlich ist. Dafür engagiert sie sich auch in diversen Communities und diskutiert ihre Einsichten als Dozentin an verschiedenen Hochschulen.

Während dieses viertägigen Retreats tauchen wir tief in die Praxis der Achtsamkeit ein und geben uns selbst den Raum, im Stillwerden zu erfahren, was wirklich wesentlich ist. Zwei schöne Schneeschuhtouren im Gebiet Arvenbüel mit Uebernachtung im Naturfreundehaus Tscherwald. Beide Touren werden lawinensicher geführt, ein LVS wird nicht benötigt. Wir bauen einige meditative Elemente in die Touren ein. Abendessen, Uebernachtung und Frühstück im Naturfreundehaus. The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association: They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education.
