The annual ICW Snow Weekend takes place in Unterwasser / Chäserrugg. Unterwasser is a village in Toggenburg in Canton St. Gallen. https://www.chaeserrugg.ch/en It is about 1 hour and 40 minutes with public transport from Winterthur to the Talstation Unterwasser. From the valley station Unterwasser we can take the new funicular to Chäserrugg. At Chäserrugg we can do all sorts of snow based activities. As always it is a very relaxed weekend, feel free to come along for as much of the weekend as you want and do whatever you want. How it is going to work: Suzanne and Catherine have booked a room in Hotel Sternen in Unterwasser https://www.sternen.biz/en/home-en/ and will be there from about 5:00 pm Friday evening. There are three fixed points you need to know about for the rest of the weekend: On Saturday morning we will all meet at 10:30 at hotel Sternen reception. After we meet, people will be free to split up and do whatever activities they want. **Please book your hire gear, lessons, ski tickets yourself.** On Saturday evening we will book a table at the restaurant in the hotel Sternen for 19:00h for anyone who wants to join us. On Sunday morning we will meet again at hotel Sternen. What you need to do, if you want to join us. 1 - Decide when you are coming, just for a day or for the whole weekend, or whatever you want. 2 - Accept the meetup invite and write a comment or send a message to Suzanne or Catherine saying when you are coming. They will book a table for everyone for dinner for Saturday night, so please let Suzanne or Catherine know if you do **NOT** want to join us for that. 3 - Book your hotel. The hotel Sternen in Unterwasser is central, looks the biggest and at time of writing has rooms free. 4 - Decide on your travel arrangements. You can come by public transport or drive to Unterwasser. That's it! One thing to remember, we are not teachers or guides. This trip will be a group of friends going away for the weekend, so we and the club assume no responsibility for you. That said, Swiss mountain resorts are well organised, with good signs and well cleared trails. If you haven't been on this sort of weekend before, feel free to talk to Suzanne or Catherine about it.

Grounded in design fiction, futures research, anticipation science, and scenario writing, *Anticipatory Biographies* envisions how the world will be reshaped by artificial intelligence, technological automation, climate change, political disintegration, and the decline of higher education. This work of creative non-fiction bridges literary and scholarly forms, blending biography and design fiction with research-based insights to offer a narrative-based method for exploring futures. Our January program is privileged to have Kristen Tregar as our speaker. Ms. Tregar is the co-author with John de Lancie (the actor who portrayed the character Q on Star Trek next generation) of a radio play depicting the events surrounding the Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District trial. The trial decided the issue of some of the Dover school district board members attempting to insert creationism disguised as "intelligent design" into the 9th grade biology curriculum. She will discuss the trial and the process of writing the play. (Bob Leonhard has seen the play and it is riveting and tense). Ms. Tregar's bio is below: Kristen Tregar is a dramaturg, director, playwright, and theatre teacher. She earned her Ph.D. in Drama and Theatre from the UC San Diego and UC Irvine joint program. In addition, she has a MS in Forensic Science from City University of New York- John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a MA in Educational Theatre from New York University- Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. In 2013, in collaboration with Irish colleagues, she founded *The Ireland Project*, an intercontinental devised theatre work with high school students in New York and Tallaght, Ireland. Her original short story "Far From Here" was recently published in *Stay Awhile Longer: More Scenes From Temecula Valley*. She has two rescued dogs (Kira and Harry) and she rides, competes, and foxhunts with her horses, Andromache and Baker Street Irregular. Food and drinks will be provided at the event.
