Wednesday is karaoke day. Every Wednesday we gather to sing. Come with a friend or alone, with or without a voice. The format is simple: show up, grab a microphone, and sing whatever you want. ## Riga Philosophy Discussion Meetup Welcome to an open philosophy discussion group for curious minds, thoughtful conversation, and respectful debate. After traveling the world for the past few years as a digital nomad, I’ve noticed that nearly every major city has a philosophy discussion group — a place where people from different backgrounds gather to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and explore life’s bigger questions together. This meetup is an opportunity to create that kind of space here as well. The purpose of this group is not to “win” arguments or prove others wrong, but to think deeply, listen carefully, and enjoy meaningful conversation. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure.
