**Hooked, disoriented, lost…** It’s a common sight to see people everywhere around us glued to their smartphone screens, and in this outing we would capture people using their cell phones in the streets. The idea is to capture the hooked humanity in various contexts, situations and relations by applying photographic techniques. Please have a look at some of the pictures on the theme in this event's album below. **Meeting Time and Place:** **3.30pm** at the **Wan Chai MTR Station**, **Exit A3** (street level, Johnston Road). We would meet **3.30pm at the Wan Chai MTR Station Exit A3 (street level, Johnston Road)**, then walk around Wan Chai neighbourhood taking pictures and re-group **5pm** at **Eric Kayser Cafe, 248 Queen’s Rd E, Wan Chai** (opposite Hopewell Centre) for photo sharing/discussion over a drink. **IMPORTANT:** Please sign up only if you are coming, those not showing up 2x in a row would be taken off the group list while active members would be given a preference over long inactive members, the last minute habitual dropouts and no-shows. **FINALLY:** For every image you post, please comment on at least one other image, no matter if you think you are qualified to comment or not. Broad St., Columbus 43215** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
