🎮 Even though it is not an event held by us, we're thrilled by the fantastic board game nights and the vibrant gaming community of Yo Mana! With an impressive collection of **100+ board games and access to game consoles like PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch**, this is a gaming paradise. 💰 To support the community and help cover the rent, there's a **5€ participation fee**. They have a Discord channel and many other events happening. Just scroll down on the website to see the calendar. Scaling the AI-Native Future on a Modern Database: lessons from Bolt and TiDB
Scaling the AI-Native Future on a Modern Database: lessons from Bolt and TiDB
**Date:** 12 March 2026 **Time:** 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM CET **Location:** [Bolt HQ](https://maps.app.goo.gl/L1wd9xND6SeM4Y1u6) Join Bolt and TiDB for an exclusive in-person meetup where we pull back the curtain on scaling massive production workloads. Discover how Bolt leverages TiDB’s distributed power to navigate hyper-growth, and get a first look at how TiDB X is redefining the category with AI-native capabilities. We’ll dive deep into real-world use cases, debate cloud architecture, and show you why the future of the database isn’t just “distributed” — it’s highly intelligent, scalable, and unified. ## What’s on the agenda? * **The AI-Native Frontier:** Get an exclusive look at TiDB X, an AI-native database platform designed to unify OLTP, OLAP, and vector data, auto-tune performance, and simplify the development of LLM-powered applications. * **The Bolt Blueprint:** Find out how Bolt utilizes TiDB in production to sustain high-velocity workloads that maintain “five-nines” of reliability. ## Is this meetup for you? If you’re building, managing, or breaking systems at scale, you belong here: * **The Builders**: Backend, platform, and infrastructure engineers looking for a next-gen data stack. * **The Architects:** Database engineers and SREs tired of manual sharding and “re-sharding” nightmares. * **The Visionaries:** Technical leaders and AI engineers ready to integrate LLMs with enterprise-grade data. * **The Optimizers:** Anyone who believes “runaway costs” shouldn’t be the price of innovation. If you’re looking to level up your infrastructure or just curious about how AI is fundamentally changing database internals, come grab a seat and join the conversation. Contra dance March 21 (First Unitarian Universalist Church) note new time!
Contra dance March 21 (First Unitarian Universalist Church) note new time!
# **Band and caller TBA** Beginner lesson at 1:30, regular dancing begins at 2:00 pm NOTE THAT WE ARE TEMPORARILY DANCING IN THE AFTERNOON INSTEAD OF EVENING. Dance with us in the afternoon then you can still go out in the evening! **Sponsor: All Soles Contra and Square Dancing, First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 W. Weisheimer Rd., Columbus OH 43214** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 1:30 - 2:00, followed by dancing 2:00 - 430. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner. Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot. Please bring your own refillable water bottle.
