The Test Tribe 12th Toronto Meetup – AI as a Force Multiplier for QE Leaders
Most AI discussions in testing revolve around generating test cases or accelerating automation.
But for Quality Engineering leaders, the real opportunity is much bigger.
AI is not just a tool for execution - it’s a force multiplier for decision-making. It can synthesize fragmented data, reveal hidden patterns, connect siloed systems, and elevate quality from reporting metrics to driving strategy.
At the 12th Toronto Meetup, we shift the conversation from tactical AI usage to strategic quality intelligence - and what that means for modern QE leadership.
**Event Details**
* Date: March 25th, 2026
* Time: 06:00 PM – 09:00 PM EST
* Venue: 688 Richmond St. W. (3rd floor)
Session: AI as a Force Multiplier for QE Leaders
Speaker: Puneet Randhawa, Director of Quality Engineering, StackAdapt
About the Session
While AI can generate tests and automation scripts, its greatest value for QE leaders lies in connecting the dots.
In this session, Puneet shares practical, real-world ways QE leaders can use AI to:
* Connect data from Jira, CI pipelines, Slack, monitoring tools, and more through MCP servers
* Build custom GPTs for defect trend analysis and regression intelligence
* Transform raw dashboards into actionable, forward-looking insights
This talk focuses on operating at a higher strategic altitude - shifting from tracking metrics to building systems that generate clarity, alignment, and informed decision-making.
If you’re leading QE in a fast-moving organization, this session will help you rethink how AI can amplify your impact.
**Key Takeaways**
* How QE leaders can use AI to connect siloed quality data into meaningful insights
* Practical examples of MCP servers and custom GPTs in QE workflows
* How to transition from reactive reporting to proactive, insight-driven leadership
* Ways to elevate quality from operational support to strategic advantage
**About the Speaker**
Puneet Randhawa is the Director of Quality Engineering at StackAdapt, with over 15 years of experience building and scaling QE teams in high-growth tech environments.
She is passionate about transforming quality from a support function into a strategic differentiator - leveraging data, automation, and now AI to enable smarter decisions and stronger outcomes.
Puneet actively mentors emerging QE leaders and shares practical insights from the field, focusing on how modern quality engineering can influence business strategy and organizational impact.
**Why You Should Attend**
* Gain a leadership-level perspective on AI in quality engineering
* Learn how to leverage AI beyond automation use cases
* Discover practical methods to turn metrics into intelligence
* Connect with Toronto’s QE and technology leaders
* Be part of The Test Tribe’s 12th Toronto Meetup
**About The Test Tribe**
The Test Tribe is the world’s largest software testing community, empowering testers globally since 2018. With 700+ events and 150K+ members across 130+ countries, we bring testers together to learn, grow, and connect through meetups, conferences, cohorts, masterclasses, and more.

Tech & Startup Social Mixer ($20 Early Bird Tix!)
On **March 25**, TechinTO is taking over IDK Social Bar for an absolute homecoming edition.

**THE SURPRISE:** The zero-pressure format remains absolute, but the stakes are elevated. **A casting producer for one of Canada's biggest business television shows is attending**. You should leave the slide deck at home and just be ready to talk about the company you are actually building.
**The Crowd:** Entrepreneurs, devs, designers, and marketers who are actually moving the needle in this city. **You should absolutely bring your team—groups of three or more immediately lock in a specific 25% discount at checkout.**

🍪👑 **ULTIMATE COOKIE CRAWL: TORONTO’S SWEETEST SHOWDOWN** 👑🍪
We’re Finding the Best Cookie in the City. For Research. Obviously.
I’ve done the hard work (you’re welcome) and curated some of the top cookie spots and bakeries in Toronto so we can settle the ultimate question:
Who makes the best cookie in the city?
Is it gooey and underbaked?
Crisp and golden?
Thick and dramatic?
Stuffed, dipped, or classic chocolate chip perfection?
Join me for a sugar-fueled city walk as we explore some of Toronto’s most talked-about cookie destinations. And no — you don’t have to love cookies to join. You don’t even have to order one. You can simply come for the walk, the social energy, and the joy of watching the rest of us debate texture like it’s a competitive sport.

Marketing Talk & Social
As we emerge from our winter slumber we’re kicking things off this upcoming Thursday with a Talk & Social.
**The Talk**
To start the night, professor Garrett Hall will deliver *“The Marketing Basics That Still Matter”*—a presentation on problems, solutions and competition. With all of our LinkedIns feed-deep in hot takes about tech and tooling, we wanted to take a step back and ask, “Are we missing the forest from the trees?”
Garret brings 10+ years of experience as a Professor of Digital Marketing at Sheridan College and has advised early-stage founders on business model development, strategy, and digital acquisition planning as a mentor-in-residence at Sheridan EDGE.
**The Social**
Afterwards, you’ll have a chance to to discuss what you’ve heard over drinks, meet new friends and colleagues, and network.
It's a casual, chill—and non-salesy—atmosphere to meet other marketing and creative professionals in Toronto.
All tickets come with 1 free drink.

# FAQs
**Do all ideas have a chance at getting funded?**
Not all ideas will move forward after initial pitches on Saturday. Once pitches are complete, we’ll vote for top ideas and form teams around the 4 – 7 ideas with the most votes. You must recruit **at least four total team members** (including the founder) to move forward and have a chance at getting funded on Sunday. If your idea doesn’t move forward, you can join another team!
**Do I have to submit my idea online prior to the event?**
Unlike previous years, we don’t have the option to submit your idea online prior to the event. Instead, everyone will be going through a brainstorming exercise on Saturday that’ll help you prepare for your initial pitch.
**Will we be working for 24 hours straight?**
Nope. The event is split over two days. You’ll be building on Saturday and pitching on Sunday.
**Do I have to pitch an idea?**
Nope. You can also simply join a team.
**What types of entrepreneurs does GBH support?**
While GBH most often works with technology startups, we support *any* organization (for- or non-profit) that makes an impact on health in the US or across the world.

Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations.
If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!).
**HOW IT WORKS**
**Step 1: Bring a topic**
Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event.
**Step 2: Circle up & share**
We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds.
**Step 3: Walk, talk & float**
We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!"
**Step 4: Feel more alive**
Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times.
*For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)*
**HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC**
A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about.
Recent topics include:
* "What are you passionate about right now?"
* "What makes a good friend?"
* "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?"
* "How do you want to be remembered?"
* "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?"
Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter.
**WHAT TO EXPECT**
This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.*
But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here.
**FAQ**
* Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk!
* We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space.
* We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space.
* Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know.
* Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic!
**LOGISTICS**
* If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event.
* This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs.
* Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details.
* If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋
**IF YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER...**
[The Board](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board) is the next step: a high-trust collective for renaissance people devoted to creating, connecting, and building lives that light us up.
* This is a global HQ for people who crave big talk, deep connection, and dream collaborations with people across industries. If the walks feel like a spark... The Board is the fire. Apply [here](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board).
