šŸ“š Books & Social šŸø
šŸ“šReading books and discussing them are two distinct experiences! Conversations about books and sharing insights help us better appreciate literature and enrich our lives. Let's grab a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and discuss books we're currently reading or have recently enjoyed—whether poetry, fiction, or non-fiction. Bring your physical book or e-reader. There's no formal structure or agenda—just books and good conversation.šŸ’¬ It's a perfect place to get book recommendations and rediscover your reading momentum if you've hit a slump. We welcome readers of all backgrounds and interests! āš ļø**Something Happened?** If something unpleasant happened to you, it may happen to others. Even if it seems minor, don't hesitate to reach out to me. šŸ” **How to find us?** * When I reach the venue, I'll leave a comment in the meetup where the group is seated. Normally, the booking is in my name, so you can ask the staff for the group. * If you're unable to find us, leave a comment in the meetup page. I'll be able to guide you. We highly encourage you to move between tables and strike up conversations with fellow book lovers. These discussions about literature and reading recommendations are often the highlight of the event! As an organizer, I'm always looking for feedback about the event and suggestions for new events, so feel free to suggest ideas to me. šŸ’” I look forward to seeing you all! 😊

Would you like to try to experience Jyorei - Japanese Energy Healing in Dublin?
Would you like to try to experience Jyorei - Japanese Energy Healing in Dublin?
Dear Jyorei Friends, I am sending this email to those who received Jyorei sessions in the past. I would like to invite you to join our upcoming **Jyorei Sessions** in Dublin City *on **Sunday 11th of January.*** **Address:** Oscailt in Dublin 8 Pembroke Rd, Dublin, Ireland **Session :** 14:00 pm – 15:00 pm (Irish Time) * *** ### **The Healing Light Class** The **Healing Light Class** offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about **Jyorei**—a simple yet profound healing art that helps us become healthier and happier by allowing Divine Light to shine within us. **Mokichi Okada**, the founder of Jyorei, began his healing work in 1934. He taught that spiritual and physical impurities are the root causes of human suffering and developed Jyorei as a way to dissolve these impurities. Today, millions of people around the world practice Jyorei and experience remarkable benefits from it. In this class, you will have the chance to experience Jyorei and, if you wish, to continue learning and become a **Jyorei practitioner** through additional classes. Jyorei is a shared act between two people—one who gives and one who receives. There is **no physical contact**, and we observe social distancing. Those receiving Jyorei often experience a deep sense of peace and well-being. Interestingly, the blessings of Jyorei are often even greater for the giver, who gains compassion and love through sharing these blessings with family, friends, and neighbours. We look forward to seeing you at the class. *** ### **About Shumei** **Shumei** is a spiritual organisation that fosters health, happiness, and harmony for all, based on the teachings of **Mokichi Okada**, affectionately known as *Meishusama*. Meishusama taught that a world free from sickness, poverty, and conflict is possible through the spiritual practice of Jyorei, the cultivation of **Natural Agriculture**, and the appreciation of **Art and Beauty**. > ā€œGratitude breeds gratitude; discontent spawns discontent.ā€ > — Meishusama You can also learn more about **Shumei Philosophy** on YouTube: [https://youtu.be/0Uq-0pQNcCs?si=-E4EVdq0Ar_NjOX6](https://youtu.be/0Uq-0pQNcCs?si=-E4EVdq0Ar_NjOX6) Warm regards, **Taka**

Book Exchange and Slow Horses by Mick Herron
Book Exchange and Slow Horses by Mick Herron
Join us for Slow Horses and a Book Exchange! In addition to our usual chat about the book, we’ll be exchanging books. Bring two books you’re willing to part with and we’ll exhange books. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- Welcome to the thrilling and unnervingly prescient world of the slow horses. This team of MI5 agents is united by one common bond: They've screwed up royally and will do anything to redeem themselves. This special tenth-anniversary deluxe edition of a modern classic includes a foreword by the author, discussion questions for book clubs, and an exclusive short story featuring the slow horses. London, England: Slough House is where washed-up MI5 spies go to while away what's left of their failed careers. The "slow horses," as they're called, have all disgraced themselves in some way to get relegated there. Maybe they botched an Op so badly they can't be trusted anymore. Maybe they got in the way of an ambitious colleague and had the rug yanked out from under them. Maybe they just got too dependent on the bottle-not unusual in this line of work. One thing they have in common, though, is they want to be back in the action. And most of them would do anything to get there-even if it means having to collaborate with one another. When a young man is abducted and his kidnappers threaten to broadcast his beheading live on the Internet, the slow horses see an opportunity to redeem themselves. But is the victim really who he appears to be?
