The games are friendly and as safe as possible (no slide tackling). Ages range from 15 years old to 65. Skill level is average to good. Please contact Henry Karp at [karphenry@yahoo.com](http://karphenry@yahoo.com/) or just join us at the times identified above. Although an RSVP is always appreciated, new members need not RSVP to join the game. The games are always on and well-attended, unless bad weather. We have a core group of regular players who do not use the meetup app so please don't judge whether there is a game or not by the number of sign-ups on meetup.

Criminalizing DC Youth - PART 2
Criminalizing DC Youth - PART 2
*Beyond Curfews and Toward Real Community Safety*. While youth curfews in DC continue to be pushed in the name of “public safety,” we must shift the focus toward what real safety looks like when communities lead. Instead of policing and punishment, this discussion explores how investing in youth, housing, education, and opportunity can prevent harm at its roots. Grounded in PACA’s vision, this **Assata Shakur Popular Education (ASPE)** session will examine how residents can take decision-making power over safety, resources, and accountability. Together, we will identify concrete steps to move beyond curfews and build community-led, youth-centered systems of care and safety. Food will be provided! *Food will be provided!*

Dinner at Shaw's Tavern (rescheduled)
Dinner at Shaw's Tavern (rescheduled)
Hello! In rescheduling from March, we'll meet up for dinner at Shaw's Tavern. A bunch of us went here when Bella DePaulo came for her book talk a couple of years ago. They have some nice low-key, reasonably priced options: [https://www.shawstavern.com/](https://www.shawstavern.com/) \- I reserved some space on the covered outdoor patio\. Hopefully\, the weather is springy\! Street parking is free on weekends, but difficult to find. Alternatively, it's an eight-minute walk from the Shaw-Howard U stop on the Yellow/Green Line. A couple of disclaimers: this is not a "meet market." Many of us desire to become DINKs at some point, while others do not; let's not assume the former for anyone. In the spirit of the overall group, this is inclusive in that regard. But please just come with the intent to have fun and connect with other CFs, not to hook up or partner up. If it happens naturally, awesome. But please don't have that goal in mind. You can bring a guest provided they're single and childfree. If something comes up and you can't make it, please switch your RSVP to "no" by Friday, 4/24 at 5 p.m. That said, if you've repeatedly signed up and then switched your RSVP to "no," I reserve the right to move you to the waitlist if we have enough people wanting to go. Reservations are limited to eight people; if anybody wants to make their own reservation so we can have more, let me know, and I'll increase the size.

Tim's Non-Surprise B-DAY Extravaganza at Plaza Oaxaca in Rockville
Tim's Non-Surprise B-DAY Extravaganza at Plaza Oaxaca in Rockville
Hey all, this year we are returning to a favorite spot to once again celebrate Chapter Two's very own, Tim. As you can see from the photo, Tim is a lucky man and it may seem sometimes like his birthday is every day, but his real one is coming up, and we are going to party at his favorite taco joint, this side of Taco Bell. So come join us the evening of Sat, April 25th at Plaza Oaxaca Rockville to raise a glass to Tim (or at least a taco shell). We will be at the high tops near the bar. If Tim's past bdays are an indication, there's likely to be dancing too, until the youngins arrive and shame us off the dance floor (or make memes out of us to share with their friends). So come one, come all, to wish our favorite seaman (a title Tim would particularly appreciate) our best wishes as he puts another year in the books and grows even wiser. Lastly, if you don't know Tim, still come for the margaritas, tacos, and great company. Tim will be the one with the mischievous grin trying to convince you to eat the restaurant's grasshopper tacos.
