Social Drawing (last event in this location)
Social Drawing (last event in this location)
We are organizing this event for people that want to explore their creativity and practice expressing themselves through drawing. The event contains a variety of small games and exercises to connect with others in a fun and original way. A lot of times we find ourselves stuck with a problem or thought, either consciously or unconsciously. Being able to draw or doodle about it can often help. When I felt stuck in life, it gave me a lot of inspiration to draw how I felt. It was always a creative and refreshing way of structuring my problem and looking at it from a different perspective. Iโ€™m now looking forward to practicing more of this. I will bring paper and pens, that we need for the exercises. Feel free to bring your own drawing tools (colors, sketchbooks, pencils, etc.). No drawing experience is required Details: **Time:** Thursday 04-12-2025, 7:25pm to 9pm **Location:** abbey presbyterian church (Parnell Square N, Rotunda, Dublin 1, Ireland) top floor **Cost:** We ask a โ‚ฌ5 fee to pay for the venue and help support the group **Punctuality:** Please do your best to arrive on time, so we have less interruptions during the event. *More info about the possible benefits of drawing:* [http://www.thedrawingwebsite.com/2013/07/31/the-benefits-of-drawing-2/](http://www.thedrawingwebsite.com/2013/07/31/the-benefits-of-drawing-2/) **Keep in touch with us:** [https://activesocialconnections.com](https://activesocialconnections.com)

Blackrock Corgi Meetup ๐Ÿƒ
Blackrock Corgi Meetup ๐Ÿƒ
Calling all Corgi parents and fans! Letโ€™s meet up at Blackrock park at 11:00 AM to take some photos and let our pups socialize. We originally brought our corgi Leon over from Prague, where they are a very common sight! Since moving here, we haven't seen quite as many, so we really wanted to see if there are more of them around and build a little local Corgi community. The Plan: โ€ข When: Starting at 11:00 AM. โ€ข Where: Blackrock Park. โ€ข Duration: Totally up to you - stay for a quick hello or hang out for a longer chat. Important Bits: โ€ข Leash Rule: The park is strictly for dogs on-leash. Please ensure you are well-equipped. Bring snacks if your pup needs some extra encouragement! โ€ข Safety First: To keep the energy positive and calm, please only bring your pup if they are comfortable around other dogs. We want to ensure a stress-free environment for everyone. โ€ข Disclaimer: This is a free, informal community event and is not affiliated with any organization. By attending, owners remain fully responsible for their own dogs. ๐ŸซถWe can't wait to see those stumps in action!

If you like what you see, ask about joining as a full member. Membership brings many benefits. Weather and volunteer permitting, we might have our wood fired pizza oven going outside! [https://youtu.be/TTQ0YylkEzc](https://youtu.be/TTQ0YylkEzc) Expect caint, ceol agus craic as usual. The space stays open until the last member is leftโ€ฆโ€ฆusually the small hours of Sunday morning. You can drop in for 10 minutes, or stay the whole night. We have lots of free parking available. Bring beer, food, gadgets!

Events, Drinks and Dancing
Events, Drinks and Dancing
You are invited to come and enjoy this social event. it's open to all age groups. As usual you will be able to meet friends and soon to be friends in a great bar for drinks and social conversation. Dress to impress - The Baily is premium establishment with a smart and neat dress code. Any thing less means you may be turned away by the door staff. It should be quite easy to find me/the organiser. There may be a second location for those that are dressed well and want to drink, chat and dance for the remainder of the night :) Attendees will be expected to purchase at least 1 drink alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Otherwise the bar management will have there bar full of non paying customers which is not good for their business. ---- If you would like to organise events let the organiser know.
April Repair Cafรฉ at TOG Hackerspace
April Repair Cafรฉ at TOG Hackerspace
Got something broken at home that you have been meaning to sort out for a while? Bring it along to our next Repair Cafรฉ at TOG Hackerspace on **Saturday 11 April 2026**, from **12 noon to 4pm**. The event takes place at **TOG Hackerspace, Unit 1B Motor City, Kylemore Road, Dublin 12**, and tickets are free. A Repair Cafรฉ is a chance to bring along broken or worn items and sit down with volunteer fixers to see what can be done. It is not a drop-off service. You stay with your item, chat through the issue, and get to see what is involved in trying to bring it back to life. Sometimes the repair is quick, sometimes it takes a bit of testing and head-scratching, and sometimes the item has other ideas, but you will usually come away knowing a bit more than when you arrived. You can bring things like: * Clothes and accessories * Toys * Small electrical appliances and electronics * Small furniture There is always a good mix on the day, and while we cannot promise miracles, we do enjoy a challenge. Repairing things keeps useful items in use for longer, saves money, reduces waste, and helps people build practical skills. It is also a nice social afternoon: cups of tea, odd screws on tables, and the occasional cheer when something suddenly starts working again. This event is supported by **Dublin Maker**. Please book your free ticket in advance here: [https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/repair-cafe-tickets-1980452469649](https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/repair-cafe-tickets-1980452469649) If you would like to be a fixer or volunteer at a future Repair Cafรฉ, we would love to hear from you too.

CBusData: The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI
CBusData: The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI
The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI One does not simply build reports on OLTP data. Join us on an epic journey from the depths of raw, normalized tables to the shining halls of a well-modeled star schema fit for Power BI greatness. We will demystify the differences between OLTP and OLAP, walk through star schema vs snowflake (and why Power BI has a clear favorite), and show you the compression differences between normalized and columnar storage that will make you never look at an OLTP model the same way again. We will cover the different types of dimensions, when to use them, and how to handle Slowly Changing Dimensions without losing your mind. You will leave knowing exactly how to identify a bad model, how to convert OLTP data into a clean star schema, and how to forge relationships that rule them all. Whether you are a data wizard, a curious hobbit, or somewhere in between, your models will never be the same.

Gartner states APIs have become the โ€œmost frequent attack vector," resulting in hundreds of highly successful, high profile breaches.
