Sharing & Caring Circle
Hi everyone! 👋🏾
My friend Forest and I are hosting a **year-end Sharing & Caring Circle** — a small, intimate in-person gathering designed for folks who want genuine connection, grounding, and reflective community before the year wraps up.
We’re opening this up to this group because we know many of you value depth, reflection, and honest conversation. **However, space for this event is very limited**, and we are also inviting people from outside this group.
### **📌 IMPORTANT NOTE — PLEASE READ BEFORE RSVPing**
RSVPing here on Meetup **does *not*** guarantee you a spot.
Your RSVP here is *only* to show that you’re **interested**.
If, after reading the full event details below, you feel this gathering truly speaks to you **and** you know you’re available on December 20, **please message me directly**.
Once you message me, I’ll send you the official registration link.
This is to ensure we can curate the right number of people and hold the intimate structure of the circle.
***
# **✨ About the Event**
**Sharing & Caring Circle**
**December 20 • 3–5 PM EST**
**Centre for Social Innovation, Spadina**
2025 has been an intense year — globally, collectively, and personally. Before we stumble into the new year, this circle offers a moment to pause, release what’s heavy, regain your footing, and remember that you don’t have to carry everything alone.
This is **not therapy**.
It’s a supportive human space rooted in presence, storytelling, and community care.
No fixing. No advice-giving. No “shoulds.” Just real connection.
### **What to Expect**
* A gentle welcome + grounding breath
* A reflective prompt to help you settle in
* **Two rounds of open, story-style sharing**
* Optional connective conversations
* A closing ritual to leave you feeling clearer, lighter, and supported
### **Who It’s For**
Anyone navigating:
* Midlife transitions
* Career or identity shifts
* Relationship changes
* Emotional exhaustion
* The general “WTF-ness” of this year
* Or anyone simply craving real community before the holidays
Come as you are. Leave a little steadier.
***
# **🔗 How to Attend**
1. **RSVP here only if you’re interested.**
2. **Then message me directly** to confirm you want to attend.
3. You’ll receive the private registration link *only through DM*.
4. Your spot is confirmed *once you complete the official registration*.
Again, attendance is capped and we’re curating a small group — so please reach out early if this resonates with you.

**Our venue for the evening** \- Stout Irish Pub is spacious\, has comfortable seating and not very noisy\. We have a reserved area where our members can meet each other in a supportive environment\.
**Here's how your evening is planned -**
\- We will meet at 7\.00 pm when you will be welcomed by your host Tanya\. She will manage the evening and also help you make connections\.
If you are a bit shy or anxious then please come early. Tanya will help you meet other members in a small group and help you settle down and get comfortable. All attendees are also welcome to bring a lady friend along with them for free. This will make it a lot less stressful for you as you will always have your friend alongside.
\- From 7\.30 to 8\.30 pm\, we will start 'Fast Friending' where our host will ask you to speak to a different attendee every 3 minutes\. You will be able to meet lots of ladies and gentlemen and not be limited to only those sitting or standing next you\.
\- After 8\.30 pm you will have time to interact with those you have met as well as others\.
\- We are not a close knit tight group\. Our evenings are warm and comfortable for members attending for the first time and those coming alone\. You will not feel alone\!
\- We have many groups in this city\. Members of our other groups who RSVP are included as guests of the organisers in order to give you an indication of expected people\.
\- This evening is for ladies and gents in the 21 to 35 age group\. While some will be at the younger end of this range there will also be others at the other end of the range and lots in\-between\! You will naturally gel with others of your own age range and so you will always find many attendees who fit your range\.
\- We are not a 'dating' group\. We are focused on helping ladies and gents meet other like minded ladies and gents\. You will generally find a good gender balance \(maybe not perfect\) at all our events\.
**Why do we have tickets?**
1. Cover our costs - Our host is compensated for their time and work. We also pay meetup and have dedicated staff to manage our events, hosts, venues and communication.
2. Group Safety - By securing your ticket we have a record and you contribute to a well organized evening where everyone is more committed and better behaved.
3. Management - Tickets help us better manage attendee group size, book suitable space and activity.

Contra dance Dec. 20 (First Unitarian Universalist Church)
# **Band: Firefly Trace, caller Kenny Greer**
Beginner lesson at 7:30, regular dancing begins at 8:00
**Sponsor: All Soles Contra and Square Dancing, First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 W. Weisheimer Rd., Columbus OH 43214**
WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing!
Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot.
Please bring your own refillable water bottle.

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
