Come and join us for a in-person Full Moon ceremony - The Worm Moon. We will be inside with human friendly cats. We will invite the spirits and guides to join us. We will have a comfortable meditation and some manifestations and intention setting for the new moon cycle. We will participate in a healing journey. This is very powerful and quite healing. We will be sharing and discussing some thought-provoking questions. Bring appropriate crystals that you would like charged. The best crystals to charge during a full moon are amethyst, smoky quartz, citrine, black selenite, and obsidian. This is a laid-back event at our home, I hope that you can join us. See you then! Hey everyone, Pugs, Puggles, and all pug-loving four-legged siblings are welcome! The Meetup is in the front "Puppy" area which is fenced off as you walk into the dog park from the Shirlington side. Pug Hugs, CB

This route takes us by many scenic landmarks in northern Maryland: Annapolis Rocks, Black Rock, Raven Rock, Cunningham Falls, Cat Rock, Chimney Rock, and Wolf Rock. The splits will be 13.75/19.75 We will meet at the Grovesnor-Strathmore kiss and ride at 7:30am, and carpool to the trailhead about an hour away, I will arrange to set up the shuttle either beforehand or on our way. We will start from the Annapolis Rocks trailhead and hike north on the AT to raven Rock shelter, stopping to see Annapolis, Black, and Raven Rocks on our way. We will settle in a Raven Rocks shelter for the night. The shelter is quite large, and there are campsites available. The next morning, we will retrace our steps back to the last road and roadwalk 2.5 miles to make the jump from the AT to the Catoctin Mountain Trail. Once there, we will hike several miles to route 77, where our cars will be, and pass them to hike the loop to Cunningham Falls, Cat Rock, Chimney Rock, Wolf Rock, and Thurmont Vista, before returning to our shuttle vehicle back near the falls. For any members who are looking to become veteran members, day two is long enough for you to graduate! Anyone looking for a shorter second day may stop at the cars when we pass on route 77, making it a less than 10 mile day. This is a W1 trip, so be prepared for winter conditions. We will monitor the weather as it gets closer. Join us for our first ever St. Patty's day parade march in the annual Old Town Alexandria Ballyshaners's Parade. We are confirmed with details on line up and parade route pending. https://ballyshaners.org/ Parade staging will be 11:00-11:45 to begin marching the 10 block route at 12:30. I encourage you to come closer to 11:45 but please account for parking time if you plan on driving in instead of walking/metro'ing in. Our staging will be on the sidewalk since we do not have a vehicle/float this year. Please be as festive as possible. with the St. Patty's day theme. We are Welsh but that hasn't stopped us for Scottish Parade and it certainly doesn't stop us for an Irish theme! We should be marching at "normal adult walking pace" for 10 city blocks (30 min consistent walking) so for those of you with elderly corgis please bring a stroller for them to keep pace. We are encouraged to use metro since the staging area is a short walk from the King Street metro. I will send out additional instructions once we get them. For now the only major instructions is that we are not allowed to throw things at the crowd (candy etc) and that we should not have alcohol. Expect it to be fairly loud since there will be plenty of bands and bagpipe players. Parade "ends when it ends" but they expect it won't drag out longer than 1:30-2 pm.

**We are trying to find a few responsible people who would like to help with feeding a feral cat colony a few Saturdays a month.** **We will provide the food.** **We are meeting at the Wendy’s parking lot, and then we will go/drive as a group to the colony, which is very close by.** **There are at least a dozen cats there, that are all spayed or neutered. The colony is well-established, and the current feeders are reliable.** **However, recently, one of the feeders moved, and so cannot continue to help, and thus we are looking for others who could help with feeding a few Saturday mornings a month.**

When you are ready to dig deeper and live the faith more fully this is an optimal opportunity. Talk yourself into this! You may start whenever and can come as often or as little as you desire. Coffee is served w/ small donation. It is taught by the priest and/or OCIA director at St Louis Parish who are ALL fabulous- faithful educators filled with theologically inspired knowledge. You can ask questions at the end, which I love. It is just a wonderful experience to grow. Afterwards if you wish, you can also find your way over to the Little Way Cafe Coffee shop across the parking lot to stay for more community time or read some of the excellent books that line the shelves throughout. This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired. **New to electronics or curious about tinkering?** You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
