Hi, my name is Nigel.
I graduated from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and began my career designing rocket components for China’s aerospace program. So unlike the so-called “rocket scientists” on Wall Street, I am the real deal.
For the past 20 years, I have helped foreign businesses achieve a smooth landing in China, navigating everything from market strategy and regulatory compliance to local partnerships and execution. I speak the languages of engineering, mathematics, and cross-border business.
Let us have a cup of tea at a peaceful Buddhist temple and talk business. We can brainstorm practical, real-world approaches to doing business in China.
My associate and I also host business networking events and organize trips around China for professionals and entrepreneurs.
Please add the WhatsApp contact above to connect and confirm details.

Historic Zhang's Garden reopens as a boutique destination
Zhangyuan, or Zhang's Garden, opened in 1885 as China's first modern pleasure garden, but it later decayed into a neighborhood of dilapidated houses. Its former glory has now been restored in the latest round of urban renewal.
Zhang Yuan, a community of hundreds of shikumen (a style featuring Western and Chinese elements) houses in downtown Shanghai's Jing'an district, reopen to the public on Dec 1 2022 after four years of protective renovation.
Zhang Yuan, a community of hundreds of shikumen (a style featuring Western and Chinese elements) houses in downtown Shanghai's Jing'an district, will partially reopen to the public on Dec 1 after four years of protective renovation.
Located just off Nanjing Road West at the corner of Taixing Road and Wujiang Road, Zhang Yuan - or Zhang's Garden - is widely known as Shanghai's largest, best-preserved and most diverse shikumen compound.
The compound was named after its founding owner Zhang Shuhe (1850-1919), a merchant from Wuxi in Jiangsu province. Zhang had bought a piece of farmland in Shanghai from a Briton named Francis Groom before building a garden home for his mother.

Our suggestion is to take a physical examination and get suggestions from your doctor, and medicines like aspirin is helpful to ease the headache. (drinking coke is also helpful). While in Tibet, you should **keep warm all the time**, avoid running, drink more water and eat more vegetables and carbohydrates. We suggest you to not take showers during the first day after your arrival at Tibet. If you don’t feel well, get help from your tour guide or go to the hospital without any delay.

Somatic Coaching Tools for Real Change
🔥Stop Trying Harder. Start Changing from the Body Up.
💡Real change doesn’t happen through insight alone—it happens when the body is included in the process. In this MOTIVATE Community Sunday webinar, Adrian Cahill introduces practical somatic coaching tools designed to support sustainable, embodied change.

Suzhou Creek and North Bund Walking Tour
Suzhou Creek and North Bund Walking Tour
Come with me for a stroll along my favorite part of Suzhou Creek and North Bund, passing numerous historical sites and culture landmarks while enjoying some natural peace and quiet at the same time. The entire route is about 5 kilometers long and aims to lead participants in reading architecture, appreciating culture, and engaging with history and meet and greet new friends on the tour..
Suzhou Creek, the biggest tributary of the Huangpu, runs through central areas of the city and stretches from the Outer Ring to the Bund.
Suzhou creek waterfront has been revitalized in recent years to provide uninterrupted walking paths, new gardens and ample resting areas.
The riverbanks in Huangpu District, about 3 kilometers from Chengdu Road Bridge to Waibaidu Bridge near the Bund, has become a pedestrian-favored corridor
Let us enjoy the enchanting scenery of the Suzhou Creek not only on foot,
Waibaidu Bridge (Garden bridge)
This is China’s first all-steel bridge and, in Shanghai style, lights up in different colors in the evening. This steel bridge from 1907 is one of a few unequal height truss bridge in China. It played a part in numerous books and movies With its rich history and unique design, it is a symbol of ShanghaiSimply enjoy the walk on the wooden deck of this old bridge
Suzhou Creek holds a special place in the hearts of Shanghai residents. The region's silks and ceramics were carried along the Maritime Silk Road in the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907), and centuries later the area became an early industrial hub of the city.
Since Shanghai was forced to open its port in 1843, the creek has been the backdrop for dramatic landmarks in the city's history. It was the scene of wartime suffering and the birthplace of China's earliest national industries.
North Bund offers innovation, history, stunning skyline views
Shanghai’s riverside areas have already been transformed with greenery and walking paths, shikumen residences are being renovated, and the historic North Bund is becoming the city’s “most beautiful parlor.” Let's have a walk along North Bund, a gem with stunning views of the Lujiazui skyline, plenty of thrilling adventures to get up to, and countless photo-worthy moments waiting for you to capture.

You can purchase Keith's Ceremonial Grade Cacao from us, to play with it before the ceremony. IT IS NOT NECESSARY, but definitely something super healthy to have around in these times! :-) You can purchase through the website (\*\*[www.cacaoceremonyny.com**](http://www.cacaoceremonyny.com**)) **for a 5% discount**, OR you can pick up a bar from my house in Great Neck. Just email me at [yael@lawofallowing.com](mailto:yael@lawofallowing.com) or call 707-332-6254.
**Keith's Ceremonial Grade Cacao, IS A SUPERFOOD** that helps you go deeper and get more clarity out of meditations and energy work (read about all the health benefits here: ([http://www.cacaoceremonyny.com/about-cacao.html](http://www.cacaoceremonyny.com/about-cacao.html)). It helps quiet the mind chatter. More information is understood and retained on multiple levels! Connections and deeper meanings emerge. **KEITH'S CEREMONIAL GRADE CACAO IS CHOCOLATE in its purest form!!!** :-) You are fully present, functional and cognizant after drinking cacao. It simply helps you lift the veil of the ego mind to go deeper on all levels.
I proudly offer Keith's Cacao in ceremony and for purchase (online and in person - [www.cacaoceremonyny.com](http://www.cacaoceremonyny.com)) as it is known to be the most pure and high vibrational. It has been tested against all other major brands to have a much higher theo-bromine content in addition to other components that give cacao it's superfood and 'magical' properties. **Keith's cacao also has less caffeine than a decaf cup of coffee, whereas most other brands have a very high caffeine content. :-)**
You can read more on OVERVIEW, TYPES OF CEREMONIES, WHAT TO EXPECT, HOW TO PREPARE FOR CEREMONY and WHAT TO BRING on our website ([http://www.cacaoceremonyny.com/](http://www.cacaoceremonyny.com/)). You can also read WHAT IS CACAO?, CEREMONIAL CACAO vs OTHER CACAOs, HEALTH BENEFITS & OTHER FAQs about Cacao.
I am keeping the participant list to a maximum of 10 people, and I generally have slots filled offline, so please let me know if you want to attend as soon as possible. When you sign up, if you are new, I will touch base with you to answer any questions you may have.
I am very excited to offer all our friends, family and clients this uplifting and enlightening experience and so happy to be a part of the Keith's Cacao family of Cacao Practitioners.
**Wishing you all a beautiful day! Tons of Love and Joy and Abundance!!!**

IN-PERSON ONLY attendance: Wednesday Meditation Gathering
**PLEASE NOTE THIS SCHEDULE CHANGE:** Beginning in October 2025, Mindful Astoria will continue to meet in-person every Wednesday at 7:30pm, at the First Presbyterian Church. **Zoom participation will be offered only on the first Wednesday of each month** (as hybrid in-person/Zoom gatherings).
As always, we continue to offer Zoom-only silent sits on Mondays at 6:45am and 8pm (per our MeetUp events listings). We'd be happy to see you at the silent sits!
**ABOUT OUR WEDNESDAY IN-PERSON (AND HYBRID IN-PERSON + ONLINE) MEDITATION GATHERINGS**
Each gathering will consist of instruction in different forms of mindfulness meditation, and time for group discussion and connecting with the community. Depending on the week, the teacher may give a talk or share a reading.
Gatherings will be led by different members of our teaching team. Read more about our teaching team here:
[Mindful Astoria Teachers](https://mindfulastoria.wordpress.com/teachers/)
Check out our group guidelines:
[Mindful Astoria Guidelines](https://mindfulastoria.wordpress.com/guidelines/)
The meditation session will last for 1 hour and will begin SHARPLY AT 7:30PM, with an optional social time from 8:45-9 following the meditation hour. We ask that you arrive between 7:15 and 7:30pm.
Email any questions to [mindfulastoria@gmail.com](mailto:mindfulastoria@gmail.com).
We look forward to deepening our practice and strengthening our mindful community with you.
**COVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE:**
**Please note this change in our Covid safety policy:** Effective July 19, 2023, at indoor gatherings and events, **masks will be recommended but optional**. You are welcome to wear a mask, and we will have masks available for all attendees. However, **if you are only able to attend an indoor session in person if all attendees wear masks, please contact Mindful Astoria by 12pm the day of the session that you wish to attend at [mindfulastoria@gmail.com](mailto:mindfulastoria@gmail.com). We will require attendees to wear masks for that session.** Your request will remain confidential.
**In-person attendance is limited to 20 people** (plus Mindful Astoria teachers and staff) to ensure Covid safety compliance. Once those 20 spots are filled, RSVP's will go to a waitlist. Given our limited in-person capacity, we ask that you be mindful of the space that is being held for you--and if you won't be able to attend, be sure to let us know so that someone on the waitlist can attend.
The space will be ventilated for 30 minutes following the previous activity and will be equipped with HEPA air purifiers and hand sanitizer.
If you have been exposed to COVID-19 within 3-5 days and do not have a Covid test result, or if you’re feeling ill, or have symptoms related to a cold or infectious disease, please stay home.
All in attendance must adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines. As mentioned, masks are optional unless a member of our community requests that all attendees wear masks for a particular event, in which case masks will be mandatory. We will provide masks.
We look forward to seeing you in person!
**SUPPORTING MINDFUL ASTORIA**
If you join us for an online program, we ask that if you are able to offer financial support (we suggest $10-$15 per event), please do so via the PayPal app or website, with payment to our email address:
mindfulastoria@gmail.com.
No one will ever be turned away due to lack of funds.
Your contributions will enable us to continue both to offer programs, and to give donations to Astoria First Presbyterian Church, where we are again meeting for some Mindful Astoria events after a too-long absence.
