🔺 Escapardenne Lee Trail Variation: Ettelbruck – Kautenbach 🔺
🔺 Escapardenne Lee Trail Variation: Ettelbruck – Kautenbach 🔺
We have arrived for the final challange for the Swiss hike. Please read the description before signing up, this trail is as hard as it gets when it comes to our small country, it is only about 30 km but with 1300m+ elevation, it ruthlessly goes up and up 🔺. Only for people with good fitness level, those who have a problem with heights should also skip this one as we often go next to the ledge. It is recommended for the team coming to the Swiss hike to participate but everybody is welcome. The weather will stay cool, 8/13C 🌥️ which is perfect for difficult trails like this. Please bring at least 2L water, there will be an opportunity to refill at Beaufort. If ppl still have energy after lunch, we can also go down and take a lower trail with additional climbing 👿, this way we will have the 1500m+ in, we will most likely wont be able to go higher on the Swiss hike than Murren due to snow patches which is at 1600m so this will be good enough exercise. See you on Sunday 🌈 Start time/location: 10:00, Ettelbruck Gare (take the 09:16 IC from Gare Centrale -> Ettelbruck Gare 09:43) End time/location: 18:00, Kautenback Gare/Camp site [https://hike.lu/?tribe_events=%f0%9f%94%ba-escapardenne-lee-trail-variation-ettelbruck-kautenbach-%f0%9f%94%ba](https://hike.lu/?tribe_events=%f0%9f%94%ba-escapardenne-lee-trail-variation-ettelbruck-kautenbach-%f0%9f%94%ba)
Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata
Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata
For this book club, I’d like to suggest a story about a woman who is simply trying to live in a way that will make society leave her alone. As usual, it doesn’t quite work out. Convenience Store Woman has been described by The Guardian as “a deadpan Japanese tale of an oddball shop assistant that possesses a strange beauty”. What struck me, though, was not its strangeness but its calm. Unexpectedly, the book helped me find reassurance in routine itself—in small, unnoticed actions, and in the permission to exist sometimes as a function, sometimes as a fictional character. I hope you are intrigued by now. If not, I would still encourage you to pick up Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata— it is quite short! —and to join our discussion, where we will reflect together on questions of normality, meaning in work, and the fragile line between individuality and conformity. Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context. We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing. **SPEAKER BIO** Mosaic Syed is a Senior Data Engineering and Cloud Solutions Architect with over 20 years of experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across global enterprise environments. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mosaic-basha-syed-92300856 **CALL FOR SPEAKERS** Learn more: [https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/](https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/) **THANK YOU** *VEEAM* for hosting our meetup!
