Coworking for writers in your area! (Français & English sessions) with Andréa, Amy & Gaspard. Join us for some focused writing time. All writers and all experience levels are welcome and don’t worry, no one will see what you've written. This session is about getting your writing done and meeting other writers in your area. When you show up, say hello to everyone, grab a drink, and get your writing tools ready. Once you’re all settled, take some time to chat with your fellow writers. Once everyone’s arrived, I will lead quick introductions and then set the timer for our quiet and focused writing session. Afterward, we’ll have time to chat and get to know each other. We often talk about our successes and challenges as writers. If you don’t have time to stick around, no worries! A note about the format We don’t host critiques or readings. These events are a safe space for writers of all skill levels and genres to work on their craft, so no one will read or critique your writing. This group is for anyone interested in writing in English, whether it be prose or poetry or non-fiction. We get together once a week to listen, critique and support each other in our work. Attendees bring something they have written, six copies, printed out and no longer than seven pages, which they read aloud. They then receive feedback from the rest of the group. The size of the group is limited to 6, so that everyone is able to receive a full 30 minutes of constructive feedback including reading time. If you have nothing to read but would like to come and listen, you are most welcome too. We are an anglophone group and everything is conducted in English, in fact not everyone who comes can speak French. Please bear this in mind if you sign up.

The Dissident Salon is a weekly poetry and performance series created as an extension of the DISSIDENT Club’s mission to provide a home for dissenting voices, hosted by Alissa Leeds. Rooted in the tradition of the literary salon, it treats writing and performance as public acts that question power and challenge the systems that shape our lives. Each week features a curated performer, followed by open mic sessions open to all. Work may be presented in English, French, or other languages. Multilingual expression is central to the space and reflects the realities of exile, displacement, and exchange that define the DISSIDENT Club. The Salon is an ongoing forum for people who speak publicly and think critically through art. Cette création s'inscrit dans la démarche du Studio Entremondes, qui vise à explorer les nouvelles possibilités culturelles offertes par l'IA en création. Du fait de l'utilisation de l'IA dans le processus de création, la BD jouit d'une possibilité inédite : son univers est Open Source ! Les pistes s'ouvrent, se diluent, se referment en champ de points d'interrogation devant Guy Roland, détective privé, qui tente de recueillir les bribes de la vie d'un certain McEvoy. Est-il lui-même ? Est-il un autre ? Peu importe en réalité puisque l'opacité identitaire est le terreau même de la fiction de Modiano, son obsession déjà talentueusement mise en mots dans ce texte de jeunesse. Passages clandestins, pièges fumeux, fantômes interlopes, ombre de la guerre et de l'Occupation : la partition modianesque est en place et sa musique impalpable n'aura plus qu'à égrener ses notes têtues et inquiétantes dans une recherche qui probablement n'aura jamais de fin. ***" Une vie "* d'Italo SVEVO :** Premier roman du génial auteur triestin, dont le titre original, refusé par l'éditeur, était *Un inetto* (« Un inepte »), "Une vie" retrace quelques années de la vie d’un jeune homme, Alfonso Nitti, campagnard transplanté à Trieste, où il fait à la fois la découverte du monde du travail et celle de l’amour. Mais cette double initiation révèle une double faillite. Se dessine une multiplicité d’intrigues autour de Nitti dont les rêves se heurtent à une réalité brutale. Au long d’un récit à la fois critique et introspectif, le lecteur se retrouve au cœur des pensées sinueuses du personnage, de ses hésitations, de ses doutes ; dans une forme littéraire qui annonce le XXᵉ siècle.
