TRIGGERED: Wasnāt Woke Deadā¦??
TOPIC: Wasnāt Woke Deadā¦??
I wise man once said: ānobody be complaining if they had casted Terry Crews as Hellen of Troyā¦ā
Samuel L. Jackson would be a great option in my humble opinionā¦
TRIGGERED is a discussion group for the young and young at heart, with philosophy as its core but focussed towards recent events, culture, and political philosophy, with a pinch of actual politics.
Weāll discuss the selected topic as a group and probably move somewhere else for another drink to talk about anything else.
Some of the points weāll touch on:
* Briefly: What is woke?
* Netflix, Modern Hollywood and the Modern Audience.
* Case Study: Christopher Nolanās The Odyssey.
* Influence of wokeness outside entertainment.
Soā¦
* Has wokeness actually reached its peak?
If so, when did it do so?
* Do you go broke if you go woke?
* We might have won the war, but why doesnāt it feel like victory?
* How to fix this landscape and move forward.
Image References: unfortunately we donāt know the genius that brought life to our cover photo for the eventā¦

Iād like to invite you to another relaxing canoeing trip. This time on SĆ”zava, the most popular Czech river.
We will run a very scenic river section from LedeÄko to the SĆ”zava town, which is known for a monastery and the Kavalier glass-factory.
*The trip is suitable for people who haven't canoed before as long as they can swim. You should also be somewhat physically coordinated and have patience to learn a new motor skill!*
I'm NOT a certified instructor but I have taught countless people the basics of canoeing.
DIFFICULTY: Easy to Medium
(depending on the water level on the day)
About 12 km / 8 miles. There are 3 weirs\* and some gentle rapids.
\* A weir ('jez' in Czech) is a little dam regulating the flow of the river.

We will meet already at **7:45 AM (!)** in front of the main ticket office at the Prague Main Railway Station.
Weāll be aiming to be back in Prague by 19:00. However, we will be as fast as the slowest member of our group and an unexpected delay is possible. This is a full-day event.
