This group is for anyone who writes - for any reason. Have a thesis or article you need to write? Trying to finish a novel or an academic paper? This group is for you. We are currently meeting in-person at Locus Workspace. If you have any questions, contact Sonya Lano here or on Facebook or Messenger (https://www.facebook.com/sonya.lano). We start at 9:00, introduce ourselves, and share a few words about what we're working on and what we hope to accomplish during the session. At the end of the session, you can give us a brief recap of how it went. We'll break at noon. The afternoon session starts at 2:00 pm. You're welcome to join both sessions or just one. Please come as close to 9:00 as you can if you come for the morning session. If you come to the afternoon session, we are usually back by about a quarter to 2:00.

🗺️ Route & Highlights (South of Prague) * **Celtic Oppidum:** A visit to the ancient historic site and scenic viewpoints. * **Airport:** Hiking past an active airport with views of the airfield. * **Modřanská Rokle:** A walk through the forested nature reserve valley. * **Finishing Point:** A cozy cafe located next to a tram stop with direct connections back to the city center. 📍 Event Overview * **Distance:** 14 km. * **Pace:** Active walking at an average speed of 4 km/h. * **Difficulty:** 400m elevation gain (comparable to climbing Mount Milešovka), requiring good physical fitness. 🎒 What to Bring (Gear & Essentials) * **Footwear:** Sturdy hiking boots or trail shoes. * **Protection:** Heavy-duty bug spray for ticks. * **Food & Drink:** Plenty of water and snacks for the trail. * **Fee:** 50 CZK meetup fee contribution (payable on-site via cash or QR code). ⚠️ Transport & Logistics * **Train Tickets:** * If you have a valid "Lítačka" card for zones P and 0, you do not need to buy a train ticket. * If you do not have Lítačka, purchase a 90-minute PID paper ticket for 50 CZK from the orange vending machines in the station hallway. The train ride takes 25 minutes, but the 90-minute ticket ensures validity in case of delays. * **Registration:** This event is for registered participants only. Feedback will be deleted within 2 months after the meeting, so if you need it longer than that, make sure to copy it to your own disk.

Let's play badminton at Sports Centre Olšanka. We'll meet at 10.40 and play for 60 minutes. If you have a Multisport card please bring it along, as it will make the court free for you and also reduce the cost for others. If you don't have a Multisport card the game will cost you a maximum of 150 crowns, probably much less. I will cover the cost of the court so please bring cash to pay me. There is a small organisation fee of 20 crowns for all players to participate in this event. Racquets can be rented for 50 crowns.

You will use concrete, colorful tiles, and your imagination to create a unique piece of garden art. No experience needed! We will provide the concrete, molds, tiles, and some inspiration patterns. The topic for May is "Ink" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills.
