Come along to the Ping Pong Social at Bounce Shoreditch to unwind, meet likeminded people and of course show off your whiff whaff skills! This event is crafted to serve both serious Table Tennis players with lots of challenges & tournaments, as well as the social players with tailor made games for singles, couples, colleagues & friends. With music playing and drinks flowing you will be able to choose from a variety of creative and quirky games including Ping Pong Tournaments, Social Doubles, Round Pong, Weapon Pong etc. There will be prizes for winners that include bottle of Prosecco & Medals and free entry to future events. We are usually by tables 15,16, 17 this is where you should meet us. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re coming alone or with friends. ⸻ **Do I need to know anything beforehand?** Not at all. This is an easygoing meetup, and many people will be joining for the first time. No preparation needed, just show up. Some of us might play social games like Mafia or Avalon, but you don’t have to play them, you can simply have a drink or food and make new friends. If you **do** want to give Avalon or Mafia a go, then note that **no experience or prior knowledge is required**. Season 6 of PlayOn Snooker Leagues at Hurricane Room in Colindale will be starting on Monday 30th March! Season 5 had 6 players in 1 Division If you are interested in joining, visit my website at the link below where you can find more info, check out existing / past leagues, and sign up! www.playonsportsnetwork.com Matches are first player to reach 4 frames (although first to 3 frames is permitted in some of the lower Divisions). Points are awarded for wins, whitewash victories, and high breaks (E.g. 25+ gets you a bonus point in Division 1… or 14+ in the lowest Division). There will be promotions and relegations for the top and bottom players in each Division. NOTE: By signing up to Season 6, you will need to commit to play once per week for the duration of the league (roughly 6 weeks). Of course if you can't make a week due to unforseen circumstances / holidays etc, then you must be willing to catch up your matches as soon as possible, or you may forfeit the points to your opponent. You can play your match on any day of the week that suits both you and your opponent (**there is no physical meet up on Monday 30th March).** The cost to enter is £25 (my fee for organising the leagues). If it’s your first time, please remember to read the description and rules, we don’t have many but there are some. We are a group of people who like to play (or learn) modern board games. From the highly technical to the simplest of games, from the seasoned gamer to the first timer, all are welcome. We cater for nearly all modern games as per our rules. We would be delighted if you wanted to join us, please don't fret if there is a long waitlist, this tends to disappear a day or two before the event, sometimes even on the day, so keep an eye out. Come have a drink, meet like minded friendly people and let the battles commence. If you have a game you would like to play, please mention it in the comments and see if others would like to join you. You can join one of the other games mentioned there already or even request that someone brings a game that you would really like to play. If you do bring a game, it would be great if you could teach it, but someone else might know it. Social Backgammon Whether you’re a seasoned player or completely new, everyone’s welcome. Our Sunday afternoon offers a mix of friendly competition, laughter and the occasional lucky double six. Add alongside this, the food, drinks and easy conversation, and you’ve got the makings of a relaxed afternoon rolling dice into a fun evening. 20% off food and drink In order for us to be at Gest, we must each order at least one drink, possibly two, and if possible one of their meals - I can highly recommend their chicken burger. About Our Backgammon Group Our group started in June 2015 and has now run more than 400 official meetups plus over 200 informal gatherings. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind.
