**Hi everyone!** We’ll now be meeting twice a week at Denizen House (Köpenicker Str. 40, 10179 Berlin), on **Mondays and Wednesdays**! * **Mondays:** levels A1 to B2 * **Wednesdays:** levels B1 to C1 We work with dedicated materials tailored to each level, so everyone will have a place to practice and improve. **Event schedule** * **18:00 – 18:30** Arrival and registration * **18:30 – 19:50** Sprachcafé * **19:50 – 20:00** End and clean up Please be aware that the moderated event starts at **18:30**. Before this time, we are busy setting up the space. Registrations usually take place around **18:15 / 18:20**. Participants are kindly asked **not to arrive too far in advance** at the house. Together with whiteboards and our volunteers, the Sprachcafé is based on **interactive conversations** in small groups. **Participation fee** The Sprachcafé has a **participation fee of 5 €**, which helps cover organizational costs and **includes one soft drink for free**. Tickets can be purchased directly on the day of the event, card and cash payments are accepted. As the Sprachcafé has become very popular, we now need to **limit the number of participants**. Mai laden wir zu einer Gedenk- und Trauerkundgebung anlässlich des Jahrestages des Genozids an den Krimern (Krimtataren) ein. Am 18. Mai 1944 wurde auf Anordnung der sowjetischen Führung unter Josef Stalin die gesamte Bevölkerung der Krimtataren aus ihrer Heimat deportiert. Der Transport erfolgte in Viehwaggons unter unmenschlichen Bedingungen. Infolge von Hunger, Krankheiten und Zwangsarbeit kamen 46 % der Bevölkerung ums Leben. Im Zuge dieser Ereignisse wurde die nationale Autonomie aufgehoben, den Menschen ihre grundlegenden Rechte entzogen und ein erheblicher Teil des kulturellen und historischen Erbes zerstört. Die Veranstaltung endet mit einem gemeinsamen Anzünden von Kerzen. Wir laden alle herzlich ein, sich diesem stillen Gedenken anzuschließen.

Barely any art form is as collaborative as filmmaking. And many queer filmmakers know what it feels like to create within teams where heteronormative perspectives dominate — where queer ideas are softened, sidelined, or reduced to “niche.” We want to shift that. This is a space for queer filmmakers to come together — to connect, exchange knowledge and resources, and build a network rooted in queer perspectives and storytelling. Our monthly workshop edition serves as a kick-off meeting for a "Make one shortfilm per month challenge" where we build a team, brainstorm and conceptualise ideas together, figure out production questions and determine roles. The main purpose is to work together, have fun and build relationships that hopefully go on to do bigger projects. Let’s build the teams we have been missing!

In this 2-hour workshop at Atelier Māya, you’ll be guided through a simple and enjoyable process: our unique flow test print session leading to a final textile piece. You’ll start by experimenting with our print tools, colour, and mark-making. In the Print Thinking process, you will get a feel for the materials without pressure. You will explore before creating your own composition. The session is intuitive and open. There’s no right or wrong way to work, and no expectation to be “creative” or experienced. Many participants are surprised by how quickly they settle into the process, letting go of perfection and simply enjoying the act of making. We’ll introduce you to Māya’s unique application tools and hand-mixed, eco-friendly studio inks, and support you throughout as you build your final piece. Gemeinsam verwandeln wir einfache Zeichnungen in gestickte Kunstwerke. Du lernst die Grundlagen der Handstickerei, den bewussten Umgang mit Farben und wie Fäden als ausdrucksstarkes, künstlerisches Medium eingesetzt werden können. Schritt für Schritt entsteht so dein ganz persönliches Werk. Der Workshop ist sowohl für Anfänger\*innen als auch für Teilnehmende mit Vorkenntnissen geeignet. Unser Verein berlinCreators e.V. trifft sich jeden Freitag ab 18 Uhr im Makerspace. Wir haben Gruppen rund um Elektronik, 3D-Druck, Nähen, Programmieren, Retro Computer. We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Short North Street Skates return Saturday, April 4 and we’re excited to get back rolling together. These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus. Details: Meet: 1160 N High St 9:30 AM meet 10:00 AM rollout All wheels welcome We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace. Routes will use a mix of streets and bike lanes, so comfort navigating the city is helpful, but you don’t need to be an expert. If you’ve been meaning to come out, this is a great place to start.
