2. Como “paciente” que recibe la Constela
3. Participar 20€
4. Constelar 100€

Challenging the UX Mantras
**UX Salon** is thrilled to welcome you to a special event in collaboration with **[Masters in Design for Responsible AI](https://ai.elisava.net/master/design-responsible-ai/)** hosted at the beautiful auditorium at **[Elisava](https://www.elisava.net).**
**Speaker**
In this talk by **[Irene Pereyra](https://www.linkedin.com/in/irenepereyra/)**, a heretic’s stance is taken on the sacred mantras of UX such as “Good UX is simple,” “Good UX is universal,” and “Good UX is intuitive,” challenging them one by one. Through client and personal projects, the argument is made that good UX design is neither universal nor timeless, but situational and shaped by the context of the here and now. The audience is invited to reconsider what “good” truly means in digital design today.
**Irene Pereyra** is the co-founder of the independent design studio Anton & Irene and the author of Universal Principles of UX (Quarto, 2023), with a second book, The Accessible Design Reference & Specification Book, forthcoming in summer 2026. She is also a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).
Irene also works at the intersection of design and policy with the Danish think tank 21st Europe, where she contributes to speculative design Blueprints exploring how Europe is rethinking policy, technology, and design. Her work focuses on making complex systems understandable, human, and future-focused.
**Hosts**
**[Iris Latour](https://www.linkedin.com/in/irisjanelatour/), Director of Research @ [THEFT studio](https://theft.studio)** is a UX research leader working at the intersection of AI, product strategy, and responsible innovation. She is also a student in the MDRAI program, focusing on ethics, systems thinking, and the long-term impact of AI on people and organizations.
**[Andres Colmenares](https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrescolmenares/), Director of [MDRAI](https://ai.elisava.net/master/design-responsible-ai/) @ Elisava** is a strategist and creative foresight consultant who has built learning programs from concept to reality at leading design schools and curated gatherings that bring creative communities together. He works at the intersection of futures thinking, strategic design and responsible tech, focusing on collaborative learning, critical thinking and understanding the socio-ecological impacts of AI systems and digital technologies.
**[Master in Design for Responsible AI](https://ai.elisava.net/master/design-responsible-ai/)** by **[Elisava](https://www.elisava.net)** is a pioneering blended-learning program, created in collaboration with [IAM](https://iam-internet.com/), for future leaders of responsible tech looking to develop the critical skills, knowledge and networks needed to design, implement and govern AI systems in ethical, responsible and creative ways.

Fresk Jam
**The Monthly Fresk Jam**
The Fresk Jam is a spin-off of our classic ***Culture Jam***. It is a monthly get together where different workshops around sustainability and climate change are held simultaneously.
These events by ***[Apocapoc BCN](https://www.apocapocbcn.com/?public&)***[ ](https://www.apocapocbcn.com/?public&) are hosted in our **Nest City Lab**.
We strongly believe that to be efficient and healthy at dealing with the current environmental and social crisis, we need to equip ourselves with tools and knowledge that help us to be empowered and to cultivate our "active hope". The ***Culture Jam*** series aims to do just that.
To attend to the workshops, please:
1\. RSVP to this meetup\.

**🔹Living Soil with Evelyn (ESP)**
**18h00-21h00**

Why does 2 + 2 = 4?
We begin with a question that seems almost too obvious to ask: is 2+2=4 really true?
In everyday life it feels immediate—two apples and two apples make four apples. But mathematics asks a deeper question: how do we actually know something is true?
One way is through proof. A proof starts from a few basic statements and rules, and step by step derives a new statement from them. The key challenge, then, is choosing the right starting points. Mathematicians eventually chose sets—simple collections of objects—as the most fundamental building blocks. From a few basic assumptions about sets, we can define numbers, define addition, and gradually build the entire structure of mathematics.
Even a statement as simple as 2+2=4 can therefore be derived from these basic principles. In this session we will not focus on technical details, but on understanding the overall structure of the idea. The reasoning can be followed in simple terms, even by non-mathematicians, and it reveals something remarkable: from a small number of simple starting points, an enormous world of mathematical knowledge can be built.
Along the way, we will also look at the historical path that led to this view—how mathematicians gradually refined these ideas over centuries in an intellectual quest to understand the foundations of mathematics.
This session will be led by Jordi Molins.
Bring wine/beer/drinks/food/snacks/whatever if you want to.

**19:00 Kibble: Designing Hybrid Components for Native and Web**
Speaker: [Traian Stanciu](https://www.linkedin.com/in/traian-stanciu/) Senior Software Engineer at Rover.com
Building a component library that runs on web, React Native, iOS, and Android without diverging into chaos is harder than it sounds. This talk digs into how Kibble—Rover's design system—handles the gap between platforms through a file-naming convention (`.tsx` / `.native.tsx` / `.common.ts`), a unified event abstraction that bridges web click and native press events, and a token pipeline that generates Swift, XML, CSS, and TypeScript from a single source of truth
**19:25 React Native in a Native App: Brownfield Integration & Over-The-Air Deployments**
Speaker: [Luca Barone](https://www.linkedin.com/in/lucabarone95/) Mobile Engineer at Rover.com
A practical look at how Rover.com ships React Native screens inside fully native iOS and Android apps — without rewriting them from scratch. We'll cover the "brownfield" integration pattern, how JS and native code communicate through bridge modules, and how we deploy JavaScript updates to users in minutes using Expo EAS Update, completely bypassing the App Store review cycle.

**Abstract**
Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively.
This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. We’ll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from server‑driven controls, and why they’re becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether you’re maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standards‑based way.
