**Maybe you used to draw but fell out of the habit?** **Maybe you’ve always wanted to start, but find it hard to stay motivated?** **Or maybe you're just looking for a friendly space to sketch and meet new people?** **Come draw with us! :)** We host free, casual drawing meetups. There are no rules, no pressure — **just bring your own materials**, draw whatever you feel like, and enjoy the company of fellow creatives. Every session, we propose a theme to spark your inspiration. Ricard 111 Han passat onze anys. El nom de Ricard ja no ressona als passadissos d’un institut, sinó als d’una presó on compleix una condemna impossible: 111 anys. El noi que es va emmirallar en el monstre de Shakespeare intenta ara habitar una normalitat fràgil, feta de rutines, llibres i silencis. Sap que les veus que el van empènyer a matar tenien un nom clínic. Sap també que la papallona blava que creia real —aquella presència delicada que va guiar els seus actes— només vivia dins del seu cap. Acceptar-ho va ser el primer pas cap a una lucidesa dolorosa. Ricard 111 situa l’espectador davant d’un enigma inquietant: què passa quan el mal ja no pot atribuir-se a fantasmes, sinó a un mateix? En el seu retorn a Shakespeare, Ricard buscarà respostes en els altres personatges, potser per entendre allò que mai no va voler mirar de cara. I l’espectador, de nou convertit en testimoni privilegiat, no podrà deixar de preguntar se si la redempció és possible o si hi ha ombres que, com certes papallones, només semblen viure un dia però poden habitar-nos tota la vida. If yes, then this meetup will be very interesting for you. • WHAT IS A MEETUP ABOUT? **BCRG first Sunday of the month social ride** **What to Expect:** This is a monthly riding event that the organizers of BRCG created to socialize between the different groups and levels of the participants of this meetup. Every organizer shares the details of his ride below and you can attend signing up for the event and answering the name of the organizer you will go with. After the rides, all groups will meet for drinks. **Is This Ride for Me?** Before to sign up for a ride check the details of the route, elevation, km and speed level expected. The topic for July is "Shoes" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. The Unity of Columbus Resource Group for the Homeless is seeking compassionate volunteers who would like to help serve and uplift members of our homeless community. This group is dedicated to sharing kindness, resources, and support with individuals who may be experiencing difficult circumstances. Anyone with a heart for service is welcome to join us as we work together to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Community members are also invited to contribute by bringing helpful items for those in need. Donations of items can be contributed at the meeting and will be distributed to assist members of the homeless community. Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “Create a better world” by helping serve those in need. NOTE: We’re switching it up this time and going with a DINNER shift on Mon, 7/6. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for DINNER from 4:30 to 6:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 4:20pm and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking are available in the surrounding area.
