Im Liechtenstein Gartenpalais läuft derzeit eine internationale Ausstellung, die sich erstmals genauer mit den Dynamiken des Kunstmarkts beschäftigt – also zum Beispiel mit Marktplätzen, Verkaufsstrategien und der Preisgestaltung. In der Ausstellung zeigen die Sammlungen des Fürsten von Liechtenstein, wie sich der europäische Kunsthandel entwickelt hat: von der Antike über die italienischen Stadtstaaten der Renaissance bis zum Goldenen Zeitalter der Niederlande und den spektakulären Präsentationen und transatlantischen Verkäufen im 19. Jahrhundert. Dabei kannst du entdecken, dass viele Phänomene des heutigen Kunstmarkts eigentlich schon seit Jahrhunderten existieren.
