Gentle Deep Conversations & Drinks: On Growth & Connection
Let’s meet on the last day of February for a gentle, warm, and slightly unpredictable afternoon together.
This meetup is for people who enjoy meaningful conversations, emotional awareness, and authentic exchanges, the kind that leave you feeling both lighter and more alive.
🌟 What to expect
A small circle of open-minded humans, with tea, coffee, or food in hand, sharing self-reflection, philosophy, psychology or simply ideas and inspirations that arise naturally in the moment.
There is no fixed topic.
The conversation flows on its own.🪄
To give you a sense, here are some topics that emerged last time:
- If you have lived in different places and cultures for many years, can you still define your origin as where you were born?
- How to find peace and calm (inspired by Indian philosophy).
- If someone behaves differently from most people in a system, are they wrong?
(I’ve shared my perspective on this topic [[click here](https://www.instagram.com/p/DTqk5t6Avy_/?igsh=MXBhemd5ZTE1dnFzcQ==) ], feel free to add your own in comments 💬. )
- Where would you like to spend your retirement, and why?
- How to position yourself as an expat in a country like Luxembourg.
- Cultural differences around complaining: in some cultures it’s negative, in others it’s seen as necessary for change.
- Human energy, presence, and “frequency” — and how we influence it.
- … and more.

Transcendent kingdom by Yaa Gyasi
The novel of the Ghanaian writer Yaa Gyasi tells the story of Gifty, a fifth-year candidate in neuroscience at Stanford School of Medicine. Her brother, Nana, was a gifted high school athlete who died of a heroin overdose and her suicidal mother is living in her bed. Gifty is determined to discover the scientific basis for the suffering she sees all around her.
But as she turns to science to unravel the mystery, her past resurfaces, particularly the evangelical church in which she was raised. The novel questions religion and science in the face of familial loss and addiction. It portrays also the struggle of a family of Ghanaian immigrants.
YAA GYASI was born in Ghana and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. At the age of 26, she won several prizes for her debut novel and best seller « Homegoing ». Among these prizes: the National Book Critics Circle's John Leonard Award for Best First Book and the PEN/Hemingway Award for Debut Novel.

CBusData - Discover the Power of Window Functions
Window functions have nothing to do with the Windows operating system but provide a “window” to a result set when used in SQL queries. They are powerful, set-based methods to view data in unexpected ways. Window functions provide easy, set-based solutions to solve some common problems:
* Using running totals
* Performing operations in intervals
* Identifying data gaps and islands
* Performing aggregates without losing detail
Many people are confused by window functions and do not know how to use them properly. This session will explore window functions, how they work, and how to use them. Demonstrations with several examples will solidify how window functions can simplify queries and make them more powerful.

In this presentation, I we dig into this feature, explore why it exists, what problem it tries to solve, how it works, and how people have critiqued it, so that you as a programmer can decide if and how you want to use it.
