Tai Chi is one of the best form of exercise for the young and old. Through the practice of taiji, one develops flexibility, strength, coordination, focus, balance, breathing, and achieves the stimulation of the brain. The effects of taiji includes fitness, health, self-cultivation, body sculpting, self-defence, while bringing pleasure to the practitioner and has entertainment value for observers. These classes are for students who have some previous training experience and already know the basics of the art, have good cardiovascular endurance and body conditioning in order to be able to take hits. Stylized strides dominate this dance, along with periodical sharp and staccato movements. Tango’s passionate nature evokes a strong connection to the music, your partner and the audience, a dance that is exciting and often easy to learn. **For ages 17 and above.** There are two types of waltzes that are performed in most ballrooms - the Slow Waltz and the Viennese Waltz. The classical Viennese Waltz is a quick ballroom dance that involves the dancers swirling around the whole dance floor, seemingly without touching the ground. The slightly easier Slow Waltz is a favourite dance among beginners and social dancers. Boxing is a combat sport that utilises punches, footwork, and head movement. Also known as “The Sweet Science”, it is best known for its efficiency of hitting without getting hit. Students will be taught the proper mechanics behind generating fast and powerful punches, as well as evading punches through evasive movements and footwork.
