Exquisite Corpus is MODE's first public experiment — a two-hour workshop where participants use word association, collaborative making, and collective reflection to explore how we think about AI, care, and the futures we're building together. There are no experts here. No lectures. No right answers. You'll work in small groups to create visual responses to randomly drawn word combinations — then layer your work with others, building toward a collective artifact that none of you could have made alone. In the process, something honest tends to emerge about how we actually feel about futures. **Who this is for:** Anyone curious about AI, technology, and collective futures. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure.
