Packaged memberships are also available.** Entering our 10th year, this group has been running weekly events intended for Dad's who are also board game enthusiasts. Please see our photo gallery for a sample of the games we play. We do not typically table mass market games (Chess, Clue, Monopoly etc.) We often table a variety of games, new and old, to keep things fresh. It is not required that you bring any games yourself, although it is appreciated if you do. In that case, please be prepared to teach whichever games you bring. Please do your best to support our venue LVLUP Games. Consider buying all your board games and accessories there. The focus for each event is to have fun so please adhere to our event etiquette (Jan 2026): 1. Please show up on time (we usually start the non-filler games right when the event starts). 2. Please only attend an event if you've already RSVP'd. Please change your RSVP status if you have to cancel (we typically wait a bit if we think you're stuck in traffic). 3. Please be kind to other players at your table: * No excessively long turns * No silly arguments over rules (if there's ambiguity, just agree on something temporarily for the evening) * No rolling back your moves in previous turns 4. You can invite a non-Dad guest every now and then but they cannot be a regular member of the group. 5. Please leave the arguments about politics at home. 6. Do you enjoy cozy games such as Stardew Valley or Zelda: Breath of the Wild? Welcome to the mysterious and cozy island of Obojima! Inspired heavily by Studio Ghibli films such as Kiki’s Delivery Service and Spirited Away, as well as the fantasy adventures of Legend of Zelda, Obojima brings would-be adventurers to a much more relaxed and lower stakes adventure. Enjoy the beautiful rolling hills, magical hot springs, adorable nature spirits, and uncover the mysterious technology left behind by the First Civilization. Whether it's helping the local farmers with some mischievous spirits or accompanying archeologists to an ancient temple; Obojima’s adventures are perfectly described as “cozy fantasy”. This is a 3 hour Dungeons and Dragons Obojima session for those who have already participated in the learn to play, or players that already know the mechanics of D&D 5th edition! **Please ensure you are available for your chosen date before you purchase your ticket.** Every **month** will be a **new** adventure from Obojima Tales from the Tall Grass book! **Game Master:** Nick (He/Him) Nick, has been a Dungeon Master for 10 years, experienced in many mainstream and indie RPG systems. Outside of RPGs, Nick has several years of theatre experience, being an actor in his youth and continuing his studies even now. He is upbeat and theatrical, standing and acting out dramatic action sequences and quiet emotional scenes. More than anything, Nick always tries his best to deliver an experience, something that will be a special memory for everyone. **What is 5th Edition and how does it differ from 5.5 Edition?** Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition is an older version that was released in 2017 where 5.5 is the most current edition (released in 2024) with some changes to game mechanics. Most third party campaigns are made for 5th edition mechanics. So if you would like to play any D&D campaigns prior to 2024 (the majority of them) 5th edition would be your go-to! If you are interested in the 5.5 Edition we have a Dragon Delves learn-to-play series available as well. Join us on March 19 for an in person a11yTO session focused on accessibility in game design. We all want our games to be engaging and enjoyable. But what happens when the mechanics that make a game fun create barriers for some players? How do we build accessible games while preserving the core loops and interactions that define the experience? In this 40 minute talk Rick will share lessons learned from building accessible first web and mobile games at Relish Digital & Games. Accessibility was not treated as an afterthought. It was a requirement from day one. Working with organizations such as TFO, PBS Kids, the American Heart Association, and the NFL, Rick and his team developed games designed specifically for children with a wide range of disabilities including blindness, low vision, Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities, physical impairments, neurodiversity, and intellectual disabilities. He will walk us through real examples of the games they built, the challenges they encountered, and the practical decisions made to preserve gameplay while embedding accessibility throughout the experience. You will learn: * How to integrate accessibility into core mechanics instead of layering it on later * Ways to design meaningful customization options * What works and what does not when building inclusive interactive experiences * How lessons from children’s games can apply to broader digital products Whether you design for kids or adults, web or mobile, games or other interactive experiences, this session will provide practical insights and inspiration for building products that welcome more people into the experience. The Board Games event is a fun, sociable and charitable event We are a fun, friendly and kind group of people mostly in our 20s, 30s and 40s. Beginners are welcome! We are a very inclusive and social group and we teach people how to play games they have not played before :) We provide a variety of 40+ board games. Head out to FANGs 2nd annual board game garage sale! **We will have multiple sellers and hundreds of games!** We're selling games from 5pm - 8pm. Swing into the event room on the first floor and pick up some great "new to you" games. Grab a beer while you're there and tip our bar tender friends Seventh Son has a small parking lot & street parking is free on Sundays. They will also have a food truck. You can play your games in the Sun Room (up stairs) or at the tables in the main bar.

The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

Join us for a night of board gaming with FANG (Fem All Night Gaming). **We are an all fem board game group** in Columbus, Ohio. No cis-men, please! We play modern hobby board games!
