Join us this Saturday 7 March 9am-10am at Chelsea Beach VIC 3196 (area of beach in front of Victory Park Reserve/Playground) for a special sound bath and group hypnosis session with Sharlene and Emil. Bring a yoga mat/towel to sit on or lie down on, and a blanket to keep warm if you wish. Free and open to all. No experience necessary. If you wish to hang around after the session, there will be an optional dip in the ocean (bring bathers and a towel if you wish to join), then we’ll move on to coffee/breakfast catchup at Jack The Lad cafe. Friendly game of five a side indoor football (soccer). Indoor trainers/boots. No studs. Played on timber floor. Bibs will be supplied. Game Rules: Kick ins from the side. Goal keeper must throw the ball out when the ball goes behind. No slide tackles. After each goal a spot kick is taken and the opposing team must stand behind the white line (you'll understand when you get there). Keeper rotates every 6 minutes. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
