Kubernetes Era: From Creation to Now
This session explores the remarkable journey of Kubernetes from its early beginnings inside Google to become the world’s dominant container‑orchestration platform. We’ll walk through how Kubernetes evolved from an internal project inspired by Google’s Borg system into a CNCF‑backed open‑source powerhouse that now drives modern cloud‑native infrastructure.
Attendees will gain insight into the major milestones that shaped Kubernetes: the rise of containers, the shift toward microservices, the explosion of cloud‑native tooling, and the ecosystem that formed around it — including service meshes, GitOps, operators, and multi‑cloud architectures. We’ll also look at how Kubernetes continues to transform DevOps, security, networking, and application delivery today.
By the end of the session, participants will understand not just what Kubernetes is, but why it became the foundation of modern infrastructure and where the technology is heading next.
