CBusData - Discover the Power of Window Functions
Window functions have nothing to do with the Windows operating system but provide a โwindowโ to a result set when used in SQL queries. They are powerful, set-based methods to view data in unexpected ways. Window functions provide easy, set-based solutions to solve some common problems:
* Using running totals
* Performing operations in intervals
* Identifying data gaps and islands
* Performing aggregates without losing detail
Many people are confused by window functions and do not know how to use them properly. This session will explore window functions, how they work, and how to use them. Demonstrations with several examples will solidify how window functions can simplify queries and make them more powerful.

Session Abstract
### **Data Cleansing using Data Bricks**
Machine Learning is highly dependent on adequate data. Not only does quantity matter, but more importantly quality. In this session weโll cover how to build a custom automated process using Data Bricks. This will provide methods for cleaning data in a data lake using functions in Azure.
\*Please note, that we will be using Microsoft Teams for the online portion of this meeting. You may want to join a few minutes early to ensure you do not have any issues. If you are attending in person, there are large TVs at the office, and you do not need to bring a laptop or use Teams.
Data & Analytics Wednesday - Google Analytics Alternatives
**Google Analytics Alternatives**
Is it finally time to make the switch away from Google Analytics? Two-and-a-half years ago Jason Packer asked this question at Columbus Web Analytics Wednesday.
Since then: Googleโs Universal Analytics has been sunset, weโve changed our name to Columbus Data & Analytics Wednesday, and Jason has released two editions of his book โGoogle Analytics Alternativesโ.
Fresh off the release of the 2nd edition of his book, we thought it was time to re-open this conversation. While people love to complain about it, GAโs market share has remained relatively constant (at least in the United States). Why is that? You wonโt find any complaints about GA4 in this talk, but rather an overview of whatโs currently available in the market and how to frame your decision-making process.
Weโll also be giving out some free copies of Jasonโs book! So even if youโve got a โGA4Lyfeโ tattoo (no judgement), thereโs free books to go with the free pizza and beer.

Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.**
How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently?
Then we will go into a topic discussion.
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-
**COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS**
\*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\*
1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group.
2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every manโs truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every manโs perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another.
3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up.
4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to โlook goodโ, have the โrightโ answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space.
5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each otherโs lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable.
6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where itโs needed.
