!ENGLISH! MONDAY DOUBLE SESSION / CAFE - Philosophy Meetup: 19:30h - 21h
!ENGLISH! MONDAY DOUBLE SESSION / CAFE - Philosophy Meetup: 19:30h - 21h
Hi and welcome to our next Socrates Café philosophy meetup! Do you have a hunger for deeper understanding of yourself and the world? Do you value deep, honest and respectful dialogue? If yes, then this meetup will be very interesting for you. • WHAT IS A MEETUP ABOUT? We ask, answer and discuss questions and ideas to stimulate critical thinking and to widen our perspectives with new concepts and thoughts. The main purpose of these meetups is to enrich ourselves with the perspectives of others, not to convince others about our own perspectives. Our meetups are about our own philosophies of life and not necessarily what the great philosophers and academics have said or written. It is not a debating club or a platform for proselytizing. Instead, we place the emphasis on questioning, open mindedness and challenging our own assumptions while listening to and respecting the views shared by others. A Socrates Café meetup is considered a success when participants leave a discussion with many more questions than they had at the beginning. • WHAT TOPIC IS DISCUSSED AT THE MEETUP? Participants suggest topics at the beginning of each meeting. We then vote and choose that event's most popular topic for discussion. No academic training in philosophy necessary; just enthusiasm for exchanging ideas and points of view. Some examples of subjects chosen on previous meetups: * What ideals are worth dying for? * Why are we never satisfied? * Why is it that human beings know that the society is going wrong, leaders are well informed about it and things continue as is? * Is identity necessary? * How can it be that people in democratic societies are so obsessed with power? (Desire to be different, better, stronger than others) * What is friendship? • WHO PARTICIPATES AT THIS MEETUP? Anybody is more than welcome to join our meetups. Our events gather people from different backgrounds, different cultures, while no philosophical background is mandatory. Our usual participants are people that have a hunger for deeper understanding of themselves and the world. People that value deep, honest and respectful dialogue. The inspiration for Socrates Cafe originates with the book of the same name, written by the philosopher Christopher Phillips. (Socrates Cafe: A Fresh Taste of Philosophy, 2002). Phillips felt that the Socratic method of dialogue and discussion should be practiced not just in academic settings, but among everyday people interested in examining deep questions together. Hundreds of Socrates Cafe groups now exist around the world. Conversion Optimization Meetup | Barcelona
Conversion Optimization Meetup | Barcelona
**Live Website CRO Teardown for eCommerce, SaaS/apps, Marketplaces, and Lead Gen** Want your site (funnel) analyzed by experienced CRO strategists? Want to learn how to apply a scientific conversion optimization framework for increasing conversions and revenue, without rudimentary LLM ideas, guesswork or “best-practice” noise? Send your site (funnel) link to [cro-meetup-barcelona@conversionrate.store](mailto:cro-meetup-barca@conversionrate.store) for a live, professional CRO teardown at the meetup. We’ll show you how to continuously increase conversions and revenue by applying scientific data-driven CRO methodology even for mature products. **In the session, we will walk through real funnels and show how to:** * Pinpoint and benchmark the funnel steps that are underperforming. * Diagnose why users are not converting by surfacing unaddressed frictions, concerns, and uncertainties. * Identify user intents and conversion drivers you can leverage to lift performance. * Ideate and prioritize data-driven CRO hypotheses, then validate them through experimentation (including A/B testing). We will be respectful but candid and critical of the site we will analyze during the session. **What you’ll get from attending the CRO Teardown Meetup** * A professional CRO teardown of your eCommerce, SaaS/app, marketplace, or lead generation funnel. * A clear, practical walkthrough of the scientific CRO process, including: * Quantitative analysis: identifying opportunities through user behavior and funnel patterns. * Qualitative analysis: diagnosing friction and concerns through user sentiment and perception research. * Creation and validation of data-driven CRO hypotheses through experimentation * Relevant CRO case studies selected from one of the world’s largest internal case study libraries. **Who should attend** * CRO and Growth Managers: learn structured hypothesis ideation grounded in user behavior and user perception data. * eCommerce and Marketplace Managers: learn how to lift conversion rate, AOV, and ARPU through evidence-led CRO. * SaaS/App Product Owners and PMs: learn how to increase sign-ups and improve conversion to free trials, free accounts, and paid users. * UX Researchers (eCommerce/SaaS/Marketplace/Lead Gen): learn how to apply advanced qualitative methods to uncover problems users came to address and real conversion blockers. * Data Analysts: learn how to use quantitative behavioral analysis to identify behavioral patterns that translate into high-quality hypotheses. * Growth Designers: learn how to manifest insights into strong, testable UX/UI solutions that increase A/B test win rate. **Who’s speaking at the meetup** Ihor Sokolov is the co-founder and CEO of Conversion Rate Store, a globally recognized CRO agency. He regularly speaks and serves as a panelist at CRO and digital marketing conferences and podcasts, including Conversion Hotel and Riga Comm. Ihor leads a high-performing optimization team focused on improving eCommerce, SaaS/apps, marketplaces, and lead generation funnels. **Participation criteria in the Website CRO Teardown** * Functional, profitable businesses with clear product-market fit (no pre-revenue startups). * “White-hat” niches only. We do not review porn, casinos, betting, forex, alternative medicine, or adjacent categories. **If your site fits the criteria and you want our CRO strategist to deconstruct its performance, send it now to [cro-meetup-barcelona@conversionrate.store](mailto:cro-meetup-barca@conversionrate.store).** Capacity is limited, so we can’t cover every submission. CBusData - Discover the Power of Window Functions
CBusData - Discover the Power of Window Functions
Window functions have nothing to do with the Windows operating system but provide a “window” to a result set when used in SQL queries. They are powerful, set-based methods to view data in unexpected ways. Window functions provide easy, set-based solutions to solve some common problems: * Using running totals * Performing operations in intervals * Identifying data gaps and islands * Performing aggregates without losing detail Many people are confused by window functions and do not know how to use them properly. This session will explore window functions, how they work, and how to use them. Demonstrations with several examples will solidify how window functions can simplify queries and make them more powerful.

Columbus Code & Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Many people (optionally) bring projects to work on, and many other people (optionally) socialize the entire time. It's entirely up to you! **What to Expect at the Intro Circle** \~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~ Near the beginning of the event (1:30 pm), we do a standup: * Organizer announcements, updates, and logistics Round 1 - (7 secs max): * Your name * What you're working on * What you can help others with Round 2: * Community events you wanna plug. If none, that's cool too. Round 3: * Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool. After the introduction circle, everything is self-organized! Feel free to work alone, pair up, attend one of our workshops/presentations, or mingle!
