Two weeks ago Yann LeCun and his team at New Yourk University published a paper http://yann.lecun.com/exdb/publis/pdf/lecun-06.pdf aimed to tackle a fundamental problem of AI -- world model, an obstacle that can keep us at the current level of LLM-s for potentialy centures, or can take us to singularity if it will be solved. To do this LeCun used EBM -- energy base models instead of classical probabilistic densities. We are planning to discuss energy based reasoning from mathematical point of view and also discuss connected technologies and their perspectives.
