Accelerating Embedded Development with Renode
Accelerating Embedded Development with Renode
Join the **Ljubljana Embedded Meetup** on **March 26** at **18:00** at **Visionect (Tržaška cesta 118, Ljubljana, 3rd floor)**, where **Bojan Musizza** will introduce Renode and show how system emulation can accelerate embedded development. Embedded development is often constrained by hardware availability and challenging debugging. In this talk, we will introduce Renode, an open-source framework for emulating embedded systems, and show how it can help accelerate development and testing. Using practical examples, we will demonstrate how Renode supported the development of a driver for the timing controller of an e-paper display and helped investigate hard-to-reproduce bugs. We will also show how it could be used to provide an emulated target for a software team developing a JavaScript application that runs on the device. The talk will include a short live demonstration and highlight how system emulation can make embedded development faster, more flexible, and easier to debug. The meetup is open to the public and will be held in Slovene language. The lecture will be followed by a group discussion and socializing with snacks and drinks.

45. Bitcoin Ljubljana meetup - March 24th 2026
45. Bitcoin Ljubljana meetup - March 24th 2026
Yes you can!!!** This month we will have a meetup on **Tuesday, March 24th, 2026 at 7 PM** at Café Sputnik with **Peter Opara**, who will introduce us how we can pay parking in Ljubljana using bitcoin. At this meetup, Peter will present Lightning Parking — a weekend project that lets you pay for parking in Ljubljana using Bitcoin's Lightning Network. Enter your licence plate, parking zone, and number of hours, scan a Lightning invoice with any wallet, and once the payment settles, an SMS is automatically sent to the city's parking authority to activate your spot. No app, no account, no fiat — just sats. The project was built with the help of an AI coding agent, and Peter will talk about both the technical side (Lightning invoices, payment listeners, SMS integration) and what the experience of building with an AI agent actually looks like in practice. The talk is intended for everyone, regardless of prior knowledge. There is no entry fee, but please register as seating is limited! See you on **Tuesday**, **24.3.2026, at 7:00 PM** at Kavarna Sputnik. The meetup will last approximately 1 hour, followed by a social gathering in the café. **Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 **Abstract** Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively. This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. We’ll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from server‑driven controls, and why they’re becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether you’re maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standards‑based way. **YouTube Link** TBA
