## What weâre about
Buongiorno a tutti. Cerco persone serie e disposte solamente a divertirsi, senza puntare mazzette grazie mille.

OSTELLO BELLO OLYMPIC GAMES
**Are you ready for the MilanoâCortina Winter Olympics? Weâre not.**
**Thatâs why weâve created our very own Ostello Bello "Olympic" Games: a glorious display of questionable athletic skills and high-level nonsense.**
While the "other" guys are busy with the official **Milano-Cortina 2026** ceremonies, weâre bringing the real "action" to the streets of Milan. From February 6th, we aren't gathering to break world records; weâre gathering to break the laws of physics.
This isnât about the podium; itâs about the survival of the chillest. Get your "winter" gear ready, because weâre about to prove that being an elite athlete is 10% talent and 90% just showing up for the vibes.
**The Incentive:** Every participant gets a **shot**. The "legends" who actually win take home an **Ostello Bello T-shirt or a Drink**.
## The Disciplines: Official "Technical" Standards
Every day from **7 PM to 9 PM**, our "athletes" will face a rotating schedule of these elite winter disciplines:
### 1\. Air Hockey: The Wrist\-Flick Battle
A high-speed duel where the only thing frozen is your gaze on the puck.
* **The Goal:** Smash the plastic disc into the hole.
* **Requirement:** Move your hand faster than your brain can process and celebrate every point like youâve just secured a gold medal.
### 2\. Boxing\-Glove Beer Pong: The Clumsy Champion Challenge
We took a classic and made it impossible by adding the "Yeti factor."
* **The Twist:** You have to play wearing massive, padded boxing gloves.
* **The Challenge:** Gripping a tiny ball with giant hands is the ultimate test of patience. Success here is statistically unlikely and basically a miracle.
### 3\. DIY Curling: The Professional Slide
The most serious-looking sport in our program. Weâve replaced expensive stones with pots and ice with felt pads, but the tension is real.
* **The Setup:** A "House" (target) taped on the floor and a "Hog Line" for the release.
* **The Action:** Launch the pot while your teammates run alongside it with brooms, screaming *"Hurry! Hard!"* just like in the real tournaments.
* **The Score:** Closest pot to the center wins. Clean floors are a bonus.
### BONUS DAY: The "Wildcard" Game
The discipline is a mystery. Our local legends will choose the challenge. Expect the unexpected: and probably more shots.
**AND REPEAT.**
Managing Teams, Stakeholders and Delivery in the GenAI Era
Ciao Pythonistas! đ
This month we shake things up with an incredible lineup. We have not one, not two, but three experienced developers who are now working as Engineering Managers, Heads of, or even VPs of Data, AI and Generative AI in large organisations.
Not only that, but we're changing the format. This time, rather than a talk, we will engage in a panel - with open QA from the public about their experience, challenges and perspectives.
Don't expect a one-sided panel: we will discuss themes ranging from data and AI governance, how to ship AI solutions that work in large enterprises and manage stakeholders, but also how to organise a team given how much GenAI and coding agents have changed the way we do our job.
**Parvaneh Shiafiei, AI Manager @ TUI Musement**
**Alberto Danese, Head of Data Science & Advanced Analytics @ Nexi**
**Marco Santoni, Data Platform and Engineering Manager @ TeamSystem**
**Parvaneh Shiafiei** is an AI Manager with over 10 years of experience delivering AI solutions that drive real business impact. She currently works at TUI Musement in the travel industry, where she focuses on improving both internal and customer-facing processes through AI, developing and scaling solutions in production, including GenAI applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and business, she helps translate AI capabilities into practical solutions such as conversational AI for customer interactions, GenAI tools that streamline internal processes, and ranking and recommendation systems that improve product discovery. Before joining TUI, she spent several years in consulting, helping organizations across industries identify high-impact AI use cases and bring AI solutions into production.
**Alberto Danese** is the Head of Data Science & Advanced Analytics at Nexi, where he oversees the design and production of AI/ML systems for the digital payments sector, leading four teams across analytics and engineering. He has over 15 years of experience in data science applied to financial services. He is a Kaggle Competitions Grandmaster and regularly shares projects and insights on ML, AI, and data systems through talks, open-source projects, and his blog, *All About Data*.
**Marco Santoni** is a Data Platform and Engineering Manager at TeamSystem, where he works on scalable data platforms, AI-enabled data products, and data governance architectures. Based in Milan, he is an active member of Python Milano community and co-host of the Intervista Pythonista podcast. He is also involved in education as Technical and Scientific Advisor at ITS Rizzoli, where he teaches data and software engineering topics.

Vedremo come:
* Separare il dominio dal framework
* Rendere il codice piĂš testabile (senza DB)
* Ridurre lâaccoppiamento
* Strutturare un progetto che non odi tra due anni
* Usare il Service Container di Laravel in modo intelligente
**Sabato 21 Marzo ore 18:30, zona Milano.

From Web Forms to Web Components - Burton Smith
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
**Abstract**
Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively.
This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. Weâll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from serverâdriven controls, and why theyâre becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether youâre maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, youâll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standardsâbased way.
