Half of the group \(mixed gender\) will stay in a fixed place and the other half of the group \(mixed gender\) will be asked to rotate\. During these intervals\, each pair of people will get the opportunity to talk to each other\. \- Shye will be hosting the evening and she will organize the fast friending process\. She will indicate when you should move to the next person\. \- From 8\.30 onwards we will stop the system and people will have to chance go chat and interact with those they have met as well as others\. If you are a bit shy or anxious then please come early. Shye will help you meet other members in a small group and help you settle down and get comfortable. Hello Friends! The last hike before Christmas will take us to the south of our country. As part of the former mining area, we will see some remains from that era in the forest, like posts from cable cars for iron ore transport. We will start in Schifflange at the train station and find our way to the "Nature Reserve Brucherbierg-Lalléngerbierg". We will take a path with a great view over the valley before we cross over a road into the forest that will finally take us to Esch. We will take a few short breaks to have a sip of water, and after 8 km, we do a short Glühwein break, in the "Maison Rosati", a gem in the forest for breaks like this. The break will be no longer than 20 minutes because we need to continue towards the final Bratwurst destination! In case the weather is bad, we're awfully tired, or someone forgot to bring Glühwein, we can shorten the hike to anything like 9, 10, or 12km, because the house is located at the furthest point and we can skip it (and the break) to get earlier to our Gromperekichelcher! **Meeting Point:** We will meet at the Schifflange train station and start the hike shortly after the train arrives. https://maps.app.goo.gl/6nZ4fqoTXSUmtsnw8 **Public Transport:** * You can take Train RB 6711 from Luxembourg "Gare Centrale", leaving at 11:00 towards "Rodange". Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. See if it’s true for you at noon on Sundays. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 12:00 - quick intros. 12:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 1:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 1-1:30ish. Writing is very solitary.
