**Hanami** means *“looking at flowers.”* It is one of Japan’s most beloved traditions, when people gather under blooming cherry blossom trees to celebrate the arrival of spring. 🌸 During this time, friends and families enjoy picnics, seasonal food, and moments together while admiring the beauty of the blossoms. In this picnic / workshop, we will experience the spirit of Hanami through crafts, poetry, and the observation of nature. You will have the chance to: *Play with different **origami** creations - Experiment with **painting**, creating a cherry blossom branch with simple brushstrokes inspired by **ukiyo-e** *Discover **haiku** poetry through fun group activities - Learn about **botany** and the different parts of a flower *Taste **mochi** sweets while enjoying the spring atmosphere MATERIALS (and mochi:)) WILL BE PROVIDED!
