There is an ostrich farm (Straußenfarm, ferme d'autruches) in Contern, and this weekend they are open to the public for the "Straussefest", Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 7pm. We're going to start in Contern near the "Hall Sportif" and do the "Guttland Trail Contern" with a little extension into the Dalheim forest. After around 8km we will stop for the lunch break, but don't eat too much, Jörg promised that there will be ostrich available at the finish line. At least some pâté and salami, I heard, and you can buy ostrich meat for your next barbecue. **Meeting Point:** We will meet at the "Hall Sportif" in Contern. An ink painting workshop, an ancient art practiced on rice paper or silk, which combines elegance, tradition, and artistic expression through slow and meditative gestures. You will be guided by Yemin Yin, a recognized artist trained in London and Canton. Her ink paintings are found in collections worldwide.
