Board Game Meet Up in Celbridge!
A weekly board game meet up in "Mc Mahon’s Bar and Eatery" which is a pub. We get our own section, it's wheelchair friendly and parking is free! 🙂
Whether you are new or a veteran player you are all are welcome!
General guidelines are:
1. Avoid handing drinks to people OVER a game.
2. We cannot take responsibility in the event of theft so keep your valuables close to you.
3. Strictly over 18+ only.
The "rules" would be:
1. Be respectful to each other.
2. Don't be a creep.
3. Be patient to players of all skill levels.
Failure to be a decent human being\* will jeopardise your participation in future events.
The pub owner is really nice and are letting us use the space so if you can - please buy a tea, coffee or a drink on the night to support them if you can but don't feel obligated to do so.
They also do food so you won't go hungry!
The event starts at 7 PM and everyone is free to play until 11 PM where we'll wrap it up for the cleaners.
Feel free to bring your games, join in on a game if there's space or organise a game here for the upcoming event to get participants. We advertise the games we want to play ahead of time on our discord server, so feel free to check it out. https://discord.gg/xW8WryXmKu
If you get lost or have any questions feel free to message me on WhatsApp at 0858405446.
Just a note for those coming by car from Dublin:
1. I highly recommend using the motorway then driving into the pub. There's a slightly faster way with the back roads but unless you are from the area its not worth the 2 minutes saved since it's barely lit and the bends are somewhat hazardous.
2. Traffic from 5 - 6:30 is horrendous but the roads are clear enough after this time.
Disclosure Day Luxx 20.15 (Science Fiction) (Steven Spielberg)

Meet Dunphys pub at 19.00. Watch out for Cinema Club sign.

Stories From the Dubliners
Come and join us for this exciting production specially for Bloomsday Week.
**COST: 19 euros Tickets from the theatre.**
*Back by popular demand, Volta’s critically-acclaimed Counterparts & A Little Cloud has been expanded to include adaptations of three stories from Joyce’s debut work -- Two Gallants, A Little Cloud, and Counterparts -- as part of the Bloomsday Festival.*
These three short stories are vivid "slices of life" from early 20th century Dublin. Stunningly accompanied by live music, they portray a society in paralysis in immaculately detailed scenes: in *Two Gallants*, a couple of ne’er-do-wells mooch around Dublin on the make. *A Little Cloud* sees a sensitive soul thrown by a meeting with an old college friend back from London, while *Counterparts* takes us on a doomed pub crawl with an ungainly, bad-tempered law clerk.
At once funny and tragic, Joyce’s tales are populated with an array of colourful characters who remain entirely contemporary, despite the bowler hats and Edwardian collars.

**DETAILS:**
**18:30: Meet in the Foyer of the theatre**
**As it is usually free seating, we need to be** there early to get to the front of the queue.
**19:00:** Play begins
After the play we will go for a drink and chat.

Let's Be Honest Together (at Third Space, Smithfield)
⚠️
1. Venue: [Third Space](https://maps.app.goo.gl/PmYZgQURX9Ebcihq5) (Smithfield)
2. Start time: 7:30PM
This event has a different topic each time and includes a variety of interactive exercises. It's an engaging and creative way to express ourselves, and connect with how others think, feel and deal with life. We will aim to provide a supportive and safe environment and open up about our lives freely.
A lot of times we don't talk about what we are really going through because we are worried of what people might think of us. This causes us to bottle things up, feel disconnected with the people around us or feel ashamed of ourselves.
Anything you share in the session is confidential and shall not be disclosed outside of the room.
Please only RSVP if you intend to come and change your RSVP to 'No' if you are not going to be able to attend.
**PRICE**: 5 € to cover costs (Revolut/Cash/Paypal). Please pay the fee after the event.
**TIME**: We will start at 19:30 and finish at 20:50. Please be on time, to respect the event and other members in the group.
**VENUE**: *We are meeting at Third Space @Smithfield Market Smithfield, Dublin 7, D07 P440*

This group is all about hosting a monthly in-person book club right here in Dublin City!
If you're into the book we're reading and want to chat about it with others, this is the perfect spot for you. We'll meet for about 1-2 hours, enjoy some drinks and/or food, and dive into the book of the month—sharing our thoughts, exploring themes, and swapping recommendations for future reads.

Summer solstice ceremony
The evening of 21st of June we gather for a soul-nourishing evening to celebrate the longest day of the year, when the sun is at its peak and the veil between worlds is thin.
This gathering is inspired by the ancient Celtic reverence for the Summer Solstice, known as one of the sacred turning points of the year. For our ancestors, this was a time of celebrating the sun’s life-giving power, the abundance of the earth, and the deep connection between the human spirit and the natural world. In Celtic tradition, the solstice marked a threshold moment when the veil between worlds was thin, making it a powerful time for prayer, healing, divination, and renewal. The use of sacred herbs, fire ceremonies, blessed water, and intuitive practices all echo traditions that have been honoured across Ireland for generations. As we gather together, we reconnect with this ancient wisdom, honouring the land beneath our feet and the cycles of nature that continue to guide us
What can you expect
• Fire Ritual
Release what no longer serves you in a symbolic burning ceremony—let the flames transform and renew.
• San Juan Herbs & Water Blessing
Create a traditional bouquet of healing herbs—lavender, rosemary, St. John’s wort, and more—then immerse them in sacred water. We'll bathe our hands or faces with this blessed infusion to purify energy, invite protection, and align with nature’s healing rhythms.
• Sound Healing & Sound Bath
Drop into deep relaxation as the vibrations of Himalayan bowls and other sacred instruments carry you inward.
• Oracle Cards
Receive intuitive guidance and messages aligned with your solstice intentions.
• Yogi Tea
Sip, connect, and ground in the warmth of community.
No experience needed—just an open heart. All are welcome
This ceremony has a energy exchange of 35 euros, if you wish to attend please email me to soundsouljourney@gmail.com or whatsapp me on 0873260081
These are intimate sessions with a maximum of 6 attendees only 3 spaces left.
Let’s play… The Ultimate Hidden Truth of the World / The Golden Sea
Join us every Sunday and tell a story as a group by playing a beginner-friendly roleplaying game. Every week we have 2-3 different games - you will choose which game you play on the day. All materials provided and rules are explained at the start of each game, you just need to bring your imagination.
🎭 **This week's facilitators:**
* 🏘️ Silvia with *The Ultimate Hidden Truth of the World* \- a story\-focused\, rules\-light mashup of *The Quiet Year* and *FATE*, with a postapocalyptic hopepunk setting inspired by *The Year Without Sunshine* by Naomi Kritzer. The grid has gone dark. The internet is down. The delivery trucks have stopped arriving. But your little community is thriving. Play through four seasons of building something together at the end of the world.
* 🏜️ **Scott** with *[The Golden Sea](https://gshowitt.itch.io/the-golden-sea)*, a one-page sandfaring RPG. Eras ago, this was a city the size of a kingdom that scraped the sky, then the sands came - a dry ocean that washed away all but the tallest towers. You work for THE CROWN, a cartel of merchants and mystics that rule the shifting sands. Expect some sleuthing, some fighting, and plenty of sailing along the dune sea as you work in service of The Crown or the Goddesses beneath the sand.

reviving gardans, Growing community
**Hands in the Soil: Community Growing, Learning & Craic**
This first gathering will be a relaxed mix of **hands-on garden work, shared learning, and good conversation**. It’s about getting together in a real space, doing something practical, and seeing what ideas and connections might grow from there.
On the day, we’ll:
* Get our **hands dirty** with some light garden work and soil prep
* Do some **seed sowing** and talk about what grows well locally
* **Make kombucha together** and chat about fermentation, food, and simple home practices
* Share knowledge, questions, and experiences around growing food
* Enjoy some **fellowship, chats, and a bit of craic** along the way.Alongside the practical side, we’ll also have an open, informal discussion about a bigger idea:
* The possibility of **small community “park farms” or gardens** in underused green spaces around Dublin
* What that might look like, what’s realistic, and whether others feel drawn to exploring it further
There’s no pressure, no expertise required, and no expectation beyond showing up with curiosity and a willingness to pitch in. Whether you’re experienced with gardening or completely new, you’re very welcome.
Bring clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, and if you have them, gloves. Everything else will be very low-key.
This is just a **first step** — a chance to meet, work, talk, and see if there’s a shared appetite to keep growing something together.

Volunteer Opportunity
Open Shelter has teamed up again with Red White and Boom! Friday, July 3rd & we are looking for volunteers to run the event’s alcohol booths. Proceeds from sales go to the Open Shelter’s organization.
There are two available shifts: 12-6p & 5-11p.
There will be an ipad-like device to process transactions in addition to cash. Everything will be in bottles or cans, so transactions should be very easy. Must be 21+.
There are multiple beverage stations along the Civic Center Bridge. The stations are covered and also have beverage trucks next to them, so volunteers can cool off in the trucks.
As far as parking, it is suggested those who are coming from the east use the Columbus Commons Garage, and those from the west use the Belle Street Garage.
