Die Transaktion von Laszlo Hanyecz gilt als eine der ersten bekannten Zahlungen mit Bitcoin für reale Güter: 10.000 Bitcoin im Austausch gegen zwei große Pizzen. Zur Feier dieses historischen Moments treffen wir uns dieses Jahr im Restaurant Viale dei Tigli. The "classical" bookswap is simple: * We meet in a café and put the book(s) we brought down on the tables. * We go around to browse and discuss the books with one another while sipping coffee or hot chocolate, or eating cake. * We write our names down on any books we’d like to take home (post-its and pens provided). * At the end of the evening, negotiate any books that are contended and take a new-to-you book home! Books/happiness shared are books/happiness multiplied! A Bookswap is 10 times better than a Book Club because you can talk about ALL the books instead of just one! This is a great way to give your books a new home and make room for new books: that book you feel guilty for not having read even though it's been sitting on your bedside table for the last 5 years, the book you liked but didn't love, the book you loved so much you want everyone to read it, the book you somehow own three copies of, that book you absolutely hated even though everyone else loves it, and so on. We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. **How Does It Work?** This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels. Many have started to draw in our event actually. **Structure** A. Warmup Phase: We pose to each other for 1 minute. B. Main Phase: We pose to each other for 10 minutes. C. Für die meisten von uns ist eine erfüllte Partnerschaft eines der erstrebenswertesten Ziele im Leben. Wenn wir uns jedoch in der Gesellschaft und in unserem persönlichen Umfeld umsehen, scheint es, als wären wir kaum imstande, gesunde Beziehungen zu führen. Der Großteil von uns hat bereits mehrere Beziehungen hinter sich. Oft können wir nicht einmal klar benennen, woran sie gescheitert sind. Anhand der Erfahrungen, Beobachtungen und Interessen aller Teilnehmenden nähern wir uns den Fragen, die uns immer wieder bewegen. Come out and debate whether AI is good or bad. My hot take: a labor-saving tool that could potentially help cure cancer gets called dangerous because it might raise unemployment or cause a speculative investment bubble, that tells you a lot more about capitalism and the economic system we live under than it does about the tool itself. As a computer programmer, I think AI is a wonderful tool that has increased my productivity by at least an order of magnitude. I'd go so far as to say Claude Code is the best tool I have ever used. Debate me and name a better one. Is AI potentially dangerous? Yes, but so are a lot of tools. Chainsaws. Steam engines (early ones would occasionally explode and kill everyone in the room). Do you think cavemen sat around debating whether fire could be used as a weapon or for self-harm, and decided not to discover it? I have two friends who hate AI for opposite reasons: one thinks it's a fad and not useful, and the other thinks it's going to take over everything and cause human extinction.
